What’s better than one Downton Abbey lady fronting a fashion glossy? Three!
Yep, three of our favourite ladies from Downton Abbey – Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery and Lily James – have landed the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s August 2014 issue. And best of all, they’re all wearing Valentino! How lucky are they?
Actually that isn’t even the best part; the best part is that Laura, Michelle and Lily are joined by the rest of the talented female cast of Downton inside the mag too – can we just take a minute to process how amazing that is?
TheDownton Abbey ladies were shot by Alexi Lubomirski, and are rocking full-length and fabulous gowns, lavish accessories and dreamy shoes from some of the most desirable fashion designers in the world; Chanel, Valentino, Jenny Packham, Erdem, Jimmy Choo, Burberry and Carolina Herrera – yep, they’re all there! And then some!
Inside the mag, the actresses, as well as the show’s creator Julian Fellowes, talk about the strength of women not only in the TV series but also in real life, as well as what it’s like being part of the Downton family. In other words, you don’t want to miss it!
The ladies’ appearance on Harper’s Bazaar has definitely whet our appetite for the new season of Downton Abbey, which is due to air on ITV in the autumn. You don’t have long to wait to snap up the HB issue though as it officially hits newsstands from tomorrow!
