Celebrities are really embracing London’s young designers lately, aren’t they? We spotted Michelle Obama in Peter Pilotto, Cheryl Cole and Beyonce in David Koma, and now, Lady Gaga has made an appearance on German TV wearing Orschel-Read.
We can always rely on the pop princess to make a sartorial statement , most recently with her outfit at the ACE awards , and this is no exception.
Wearing Orschel-Read’s sculpted tent trousers, oversized sunglasses (a key item in mid-November, you’ll agree), and OTK PVC boots, the singer looks, er, dramatic to say the least.
There’s no one like Lady Gaga to get your designs noticed, so we bet Orschel-Read is pretty excited. The Central St Martin’s graduate, who presented his debut collection for S/S10 this September at London Fashion Week, is known for his liberty fabrics, accessible tailoring and wearable silhouettes , though strictly speaking we’re not sure we’d class those trousers as wearable, how you’d sit in a chair is beyond baffling.
