She’s loved the world over for easy chic outfits and an unbeatable fashion sense, so it comes as no surprise actress Diane Kruger feels right at home on the cover of a fashion glossy big shot, and her latest starring role? Glamour magazine’s March issue.
Photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth in New York City, the effortlessy cool Diane models a stunning Chanel jacket, Daryl K T-shirt, J Brand shorts and Chanel Fine Jewellery necklace on the cover – and the inside shoot proves just as sartorially pleasing with an Isabel Marant sweater, Band of Outsiders shirt, Giambattista Valli skirt, H.Stern cuff, Walter Teiger shoes, a Stella McCartney blazer, Viktor & Rolf bra top, Theyskens’ Theory pants, Chanel Fine Jewellery earrings and necklace and Christian Louboutin shoes to lust after.
But aside from modelling a designer wardrobe to die for, Diane also talks candidly to
“I truly, genuinely like clothes,” she says. “Making them is an art form, and wearing them is a form of self-expression. I find it very emotional because I can remember moments in my life – my mood, how I felt – through these clothes.”
Her failsafe? “A well-cut dress. It’s all about the cut. I love three-quarter sleeves,” says Diane. “I definitely like it classic; less is more. The thing I despise most is vulgarity, and there’s a lot of that here [in L.A.].”
But that’s not to say she doesn’t know how to spend.
“The biggest fashion purchase I ever made I thought about for six years. I’m not kidding,” she says. “All my life I wanted to own an Hermès Constance bag, and when I signed with Calvin Klein, I decided this was the time that I could afford it. I truly broke a sweat when I paid for it.”
