The celebrity wedding of the year is over, and the photos are out for all us common folk to scrutinise. The dress, the flowers and the ring all go under the magnifying glass. So, what was Colleen’s dress really like and was it all that it was made out to be? I purchased the new OK! magazine this week to find out for myself.

Now, it’s a bit difficult to express my opinion on her dress as Colleen actually wore two different wedding dresses on the day, but I’ll do my best…

Dress number one was a cream, strapless organza dress with an embroidered bodice and cascading skirt designed by Marchesa. She paired this with some sky-high Christian Louboutin stilettos with crystal-encrusted heels. Personally I loved this dress, it was classic, simple and flattering , pity about the Groom’s attire…

The second dress was slightly more dramatic, cascading to the floor in various swirls and waves (Marchesa, again). She wore this with her Louboutin’s and a long, sweeping veil pinned under her bun and carried a posy of white tulips. The dress was a bit meringue like and for me it lacked the wow factor we were all waiting for, but I guess it was very celeb , the bigger the better.

All in all I think Colleen did an excellent job in keeping her reputation as ‘style icon’ intact. We hope you have a very happy and fashionable marriage, Colleen!
