It’s unlikely you’ll have forgotten the meat dress Lady Gaga wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, but in case you have, you’ll get another chance to see it in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.
The dress, made from hand-sewn Argentinian beef, is set to go on display as part of the Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power exhibition, which opens today and runs until February 2012, to celebrate the important roles women have played in rock and roll.
Apparently it’s been treated and painted to maintain its, um, authentic colour and prevent it rotting in the six-month exhibition, though we dare say it might be a rump missing by the end of it.
Honestly? It’s hardly the nicest display piece we can think of perusing, and Lady Gaga is about as rock and roll as the beef jerky that dress will make, but we’re pretty sure that won’t deter die-hard monsters from booking a flight to Cleveland.
As well as the meat dress, Lady Gaga’s childhood photos and song sheets, her piano and the Armani dress she wore to the 2010 Grammy Awards will also be on display.
