This Roland Mouret O’Hara dress is elegant and uncomplicated. It’s simple lines will create a great form-fitting shape, and with its folded cap sleeves and defined waist, it’s structurally beautiful.
But what we love most about it is the dreamy duck egg blue colour – a contemporary step-up from classic colours but timeless enough to transcend the seasons.
But here’s our grudge. Even though we’re aware that, in most cases, at least, less is more and that sophistication lies in simplicity, this dress retails at £1,150 – and if we’re going to shell a month’s mortgage on a dress, we want it to perform magic tricks.
Ok, it celebrates and captures the female form perfectly, we do appreciate its classic shape, and we expect that luxurious wool would make it very enjoyable to wear, but really, we’re not sure if we’re crazy about this dress or just downright crazy for considering it.
