Chanel Spring Summer 2012 Paris Fashion Week Miranda Kerr

They always say save the best ’til last, which is exactly why Louis Vuitton and Chanel have helped bring Paris Fashion Week to a very memorable and spectacular end.

Yesterday, absolutely everyone who was anyone turned up to the Grand Palais to witness the Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 collection on the runway, but we don’t think they all realised what they were in for. Little did they know that they would be transported to an underwater world of magic and endless possibility. Florence Welch even popped up at the end too, singing What the Water Gave Me out of a shell….naturally.

If you were expecting to see classic, signature Chanel however, you’ll be disappointed to learn that Karl Lagerfeld strived to do the very opposite – he wanted nothing “too Chanel” as there are already many other Chanel inspired designs in existence. Well, he’s not wrong there.

Today, Parisians are still digesting the Louis Vuitton show, which literally just came to a stunning end. Models didn’t strut up and down a runway; instead, they floated around a dreamy white carousel! To bring the gorgeous show to an end, LV enlisted the help of none other than Kate Moss, who sat on one of the horses and posed up a storm the way only Kate knows how.
