Nicole Richie was awarded with the Style Influence of the Year award at the 15th Annual ACE Awards for both of her Winter Kate and House of Harlow collections.

Paris Hilton’s on again/off again BFF walked the purple carpet in New York City in a stunning floor-length black gown, barely there accessories and her hair in a classic French twist. While we were surprised to see that Nicole didn’t choose to wear one of her own creations for a free bit of publicity, we totally understand why she decided on the Antonio Berardi gown from his Spring/Summer 2011 collection instead.

The dress complements her svelte and enviable figure perfectly and despite the lack of bling, she still stood out from the crowd. Despite wearing another designer’s dress, she still showcased her work by carrying a black House of Harlow clutch bag – very clever!

Also awarded at the ceremony were Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, who also looked fabulous on the purple carpet in black embellished dresses.
