When it comes to puffer jackets, there’s two camps – the do and the don’t. We’ve plonked ourselves firmly in the latter, and we reckon once you’ve cast your savvy eyes over our selection of styles, you will, too.
Ok, so puffers have had their fair share of stick, and some of them rightly so – no one wants to look like the Michelin Man, right? – but hear us out: sometimes, usually when the temperature drops below freezing, function falls before fashion, and sometimes, usually after you’ve worn your layers four days on the trot, all you want to do is cosy up in something seriously heavy duty.
So let’s just say that heavy duty something happened to, actually, look pretty damn stylish – that’d be some bonus, huh?
Well what do you know, we’ve cherry-picked a selection of puffas that, packed with snug down, look surprisingly slick and promise to keep you dryer than a duck this winter!

How to choose a puffer jacket?
Picking a puffer jacket can be tricky and there are a couple of things you need to consider. First and foremost, ask yourself if you can wear it with multiple outfits. For example, oversized jackets are great but they don’t always work with lots of outfits in the same way a fitted puffer jacket would.
Secondly, pay attention to the insulation. Is it a down jacket or synthetic? Down is typically warmer, but it can also be more expensive while synthetic insulation is a great alternative if you’re on a budget.
