Glam by name and glam by nature – MAC’s brand new Viva Glam ad campaign for the 2012 season is tight, bright and full of colour – and we are totally in love with it!
The campaign was shot by David LaChapelle in Miami earlier this year, and features the photographer’s trademark colourful collage-style backgrounds and lack of subtlety (the lipstick Ricky is holding couldn’t really be any bigger… or could it?!)
Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj’s efforts are million miles away from Lady Gaga’s previous offering, where she posed for pics and appeared in a short film.
The Marry the Night singer’s ads were pale, ghostly and almost haunting in comparison, but that’s not to say they were any less fabulous. They made one heck of an impact – just like all things Gaga puts her name to – and the only thing we can think of to make them better would be to get Ricky, Nicki and Gaga together for one mega picture and video collaboration.
We can totally see this happening and will update you if it ever gets the green light.
