After much teasing, Karl Lagerfeld has finally decided to release the video of Alice Dellal’s Boy Chanel handbag commercial.

The silent film, entitled My New Friend Boy (referring to the handbag, naturally), takes us straight back to the 1920s with its dark and moody backdrop, and sharp, dramatic music. Do you think Kaiser Karl was inspired by The Artist and took full advantage of the fact that the film is so immensely popular right now? Just a thought.

Protagonist Alice Dellal showcases a variety of different looks throughout the short film, and even gets the chance to revert to her old self with her ripped tights and punky shaved-head.

We love what Karl and Alice have done with this commercial – it definitely exceeded all our expectations which says a lot because we expect nothing short of greatness wherever Karl and Chanel are concerned. We hope Alice and the Kaiser work together again!
