David Beckham’s drool-inducing H&M ads have reportedly come under fire recently, as a handful of people complained to Watchdog about their suggestive nature, which could therefore have made them unsuitable for children.
After investigating the matter further though, Watchdog has let the print and TV ads live to see another day – woohoo!
“While we acknowledged that some viewers might consider the images distasteful, we concluded the ad was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence,” said a spokesperson for Watchdog.
We are struggling to come to terms with the fact that people actually complained about David Beckham’s H&M Bodywear advert. We admit that it could be a tad distracting to the busy shopper, but who doesn’t love a David Beckham shaped distraction, eh?
Just to make sure though, we’ve decided to take five minutes out of our busy day to fully examine these ads for ourselves to see if we can work out why they were deemed offensive in the first place… you know, just to be sure…
