It was the National Television Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday night and we were fortunate enough to be amongst the shivering paps lining the red carpet. So after much screaming, scribbling and sniffling, here’s a look at the good, the bad and the darn right misinformed fashion choices from the big night.
And the big winner on the night? Temperley London. Not one, not two, but three ladies turned to the label for their award night glamour.
Myleene Klass wore this black and white Mini Zola Dress. But I’m sorry to say, I’m not a fan. She may have made it big after donning a white bikini in the jungle, but the colour makes her look washed out. Such formal tailoring also looks more office party than glittering awards ceremony.
Kirsty Gallacher however looked stunning as usual in a short powder pink ruffled Temperley number.
But sporting one of the best frocks of the evening was Tess Daly in her long peach Temperley gown. The woven diamond shape panels of fabric and volume in the lower skirt were a perfect contrast to its structured bust. Top marks Tess for adding an understated small metallic belt to create an extra nipped in waist.
No shock at all that a couple of Herve Leger dresses made an appearance. Rachel Stevens and Abbey Clancy – shame on you girls for playing it so safe.
Not so safe was this daring sequin and feather combo from the Collette Dinnigan Fall 2008 Ready to Wear collection sported by Fearne Cotton. Gorgeous.
