Huge congratulations this morning to one of the hottest A-list couples in Hollywood – Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds – as it’s just been announced that the pair are expecting their first child. Amazing news to kick-start the week! We don’t think former Gossip Girl star Blake Lively will be concealing her baby bump like Eva Mendes, as she already posted a pic of it to her Preserve website, along with the following statement… “Preserve at its core is about family. Family is the single word our founder, Blake built this home on. We have something for men, for women, for the old, but we realized we don’t have anything for the new. With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family. Today we celebrate them. American Vogue has once again given meaning to that “save the best ‘til last” phrase as it debuted it August 2014 issue featuring the one and only Blake Lively. How good does she look on the cover? We definitely think it’s been worth the wait! The former Gossip Girl actress was shot by Mario Testino for the publication’s annual Age Issue, and looked the epitome of perfection in the process. As well as looking phenomenal in each and every one of her pictures (standard!), the actress, Gucci ambassadress and style maven opened up about pretty much everything thanks to an epic 73 question challenge posed by the mag. Trust us, it’s a good’un! We learnt that she wore a coral dress to her prom, that she identifies with all the men in Sex and the City (interesting, especially as we always had her down as a Carrie Bradshaw), and what life with her and Ryan Reynolds is really like. We don’t think anyone will blame us though, as we just fell off our office swivel chairs when we first clapped eyes on her latest look. Although Blake Lively is the face of Gucci Premiere and has looked sensational in its dresses this month, she decided to go for a different designer for her latest Cannes appearance. And the only designer to substitute Gucci for has to be Chanel, right? Blake Lively literally sparkled on the Mr Turner premiere red carpet in a bedazzling Chanel Couture dress that is pretty much what all sartorial dreams are made of. The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, and you can always count on Blake Lively to show everyone how it’s done on the red carpet. Mrs Ryan Reynolds looked breath-taking (there’s a sentence we’ve said time and time again and will probably never get bored of saying!) as she attended the Grace of Monaco premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. She chose to wear a stunning scarlet Gucci Premiere dress for the occasion, which came complete with a sinfully sexy thigh high slit – the perfect excuse for Blake to get her long, bronzed pins out! We didn’t think anything was going to top the Gucci Premiere dress she wore to the Met Gala a few weeks ago, but we think this might have just done it! Blake Lively wearing Gucci Premiere on a big red carpet is pretty much expected now that she is the face of the fragrance, but that certainly doesn’t mean we’re going to tire of it. Blake Lively wows in Gucci on New York red carpet

Following her jaw-dropping appearance at the Met Gala on Monday night (she wore a stunning Gucci Premiere dress and, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds, wowed absolutely everyone with her radiance) Blake Lively has made yet another glorious appearance on the red carpet. This time round, the actress attended Gucci’s Chime for Change Campaign in New York on Tuesday (no time to nurse a Met Gala after-party hangover!) dressed in a gorgeous trench coat from the Gucci Pre-Fall 2014 collection with a bejewelled dress from the brand’s autumn/winter 2014 collection underneath. We don’t think it was, but it looks like the coat was made exclusively for her as it fits her like a glove and complements her dreamy skin tone and enviable golden locks perfectly. Blake completed her stylish outfit with spiked shoes from her good pal Christian Louboutin and what is fast becoming her signature slightly dishevelled side braid. Sartorial perfection at its finest!

We think the Michael Kors autumn/winter 2014 front row might have been one of the most fashionable – and high profile – ones for the whole of New York Fashion Week. Blake Lively rocked up to the Michael Kors show in the designer’s spring/summer 2014 threads, which consisted of a smart dark blue short-sleeved jacket, a tan belt and a floral pencil skirt with a sexy slit in the front. Well, when you’ve got pins as perfect as Blake, it would be rude not to show them off, right? Her hair, as usual, was flawlessly shiny and tumbling over her shoulders in that effortless Blake Lively way/Mrs Ryan Reynolds way. We’re not jealous at all, honestly… Elsewhere on the front row was Freida Pinto, who also turned heads in her floral MK ensemble. Although her look was elegant, feminine and somewhat conservative, she added a little bit of sexiness thanks to the cut-out peek-a-boo detailing at the top. The oversized clutch was also a nice touch, especially as it complemented her shoes perfectly. Two gorgeous ladies; we can’t wait to see them step out in the designer’s new-season pieces!

One of the biggest events of the week came from Van Cleef & Arpels, as it celebrated the reopening of its legendary Fifth Avenue Maison with the unveiling of a new tri-level townhouse. The newly redesigned space feature some of the most exquisite pieces both from around the world and iconic to New York and includes a new VIP room, library and first ever “Estelle & Alfred” bridal salon. It certainly doesn’t do things by halves! Dita Von Teese and Blake Lively (each decked out in some of the finest and most envious pieces) were among the famous guests lucky enough to get an invite to the very prestigious event, and even enjoyed a surprise live ballet curated by Natalie Portman’s hubby Benjamin Millepied and choreographed by Justin Peck. Oh to have been a fly on the wall! What do you think of the luxurious space above? Definitely well worth a visit if you’re in the area, regardless of whether you have the funds to shop in there or not.

Less than 24 hours after debuting on the Milan Fashion Week catwalk, Blake Lively has stepped out in a black liquid lame jumpsuit from the brand spanking new Gucci spring/summer 2014 collection. And doesn’t she look incredible in it? Why she wasn’t sent on the runway in it in a Rita Ora for DKNY fashion we will never know! The face of the Gucci Premiere fragrance looked positively glowing as she attended the Beauty in Wonderland exhibition in Milan yesterday evening. She accessorised her new-season jumpsuit with black open-toed sandals and an 18kt white gold and diamond horsebit cocktail ring, while sweeping her hair off her face in a chicly disheveled updo and opting for natural make-up. Just like we told you last month, Blake Lively has indeed secured the Lucky September issue front cover… and here it is in all its glory! Expect a host of stunning pics – not too dissimilar from the cover image – and an open, honest interview to boot. Blake, who recently admitted that her hubby Ryan Reynolds seeks her fashion advice before big events, talk to the mag about her ever-evolving style, as well as that of her other half… “I’m very lucky to be with someone who has better taste than me. We influence each other in different ways,” she said. “I was recently asked how my style has changed since I got married, as if I was living under some sort of dictatorship. I should hope I dress differently at 25 than I did when I graduated high school. I hope I never stop changing.” We still don’t know how she manages to nail each and every look sans stylist, but we’re hoping she will divulge in the interview. The only thing more shocking than discovering Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married in secret at the weekend was learning who designed her wedding dress. The blushing bride wore neither Chanel nor Gucci and actually went for a custom Marchesa gown instead – designed exclusively for her by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. Who would have thunk it? According to British Vogue, the new Mrs Reynolds wore a one-of a-kind Couture bridal ballgown with a hand-draped silk tulle bodice covered in crystals and rose gold embroidery. We need a pic… like, now! We’re not betting people, but would have wagered serious money that Blake would have glided down the aisle in a bespoke Chanel or Gucci number. Blake and Kaiser Karl have been friends for what seems like forever, and she is of course the face of Gucci’s new fragrance so they seemed like the obvious choices. Still, it wasn’t all shock-factor, as Blake reportedly wore a pair of her BFF Christian Louboutin’s shoes under her gown. And yes, he was invited to the wedding too! We know we’ve sung this tune a thousand times, but it never really gets old as far as our fave leggy blonde Gossip Girl actress is concerned. Blake turned up to the Hotel Cipriani during the Venice Film Festival for the launch party of Gucci Première, the brand spanking new scent from the fashion House that she is of course the face of. So our Tuesday morning just got a little bit depressing.  Blake Lively, i.e. the girlfriend of the hottie that is Ryan Reynolds and BFF of Christian Louboutin apparently doesn’t exercise. And eats junk food! On a scale of one to ten, how unfair is life? “I am terrible; I don’t do any exercise,” Blake told Style magazine. “I’m going to have to learn the hard way. I love food too much, and my family is from the South, so the food I like is not necessarily the best for you. “There are days when I will be like, “Oh my goodness, I am not happy with the way I look because I cannot fit into any of my clothes”. So I eat quinoa that week, and then I feel good.” Even though Blake is hot Hollywood property, it’s nice to know that she still remains grounded, and relies on her close friends and family to help her do so. “The same people who love you to death one day will hate you to death the next, so who do you give the keys to your self-worth to?  You have to have those keys for yourself. And you have to surround yourself with people who are honest with you. “I need honesty. It’s a busy week for Gucci! Just yesterday we showed you the second of four Charlotte Casiraghi Forever Now ad campaign images, and today we have something just as, if not more, special. It’s finally time to see Blake Lively in action, as the video commercial for her Gucci Première fragrance has finally surfaced. And yes, all of those clichés like saving the best til last and good things coming to those who wait all apply in this situation. The short film was shot by Nicholas Winding Refn, and features the blonde actress looking like a true golden Hollywood goddess in not one, but two jaw-droppingly gorgeous Gucci gowns. We have to all accept that pretty soon we’re going to have to kiss a long and painful goodbye to Gossip Girl, and as a result, brand new pics of the cast on the set will no longer exist. So, we’re making the most of it while it lasts! Blake Lively was “spotted” (said in our finest Gossip Girl American accent) on Madison Avenue in Manhattan yesterday in a gorgeous summery-blue Marc by Marc Jacobs dress, which was relatively modest in length but very daring at the top by way of a plunging neckline. It really goes to show how much Serena van deer Woodsen’s style has evolved over the years, doesn’t it? Blake/Serena teamed her dress with some coral Christian Dior platform sandals, which makes a nice change from the Christian Louboutins the actress wears when she’s not on set. The giant bag also adds to the overall wow-factor of the outfit, making this another style triumph for our favourite blonde Upper East Sider. This is most definitely not cheating, and the “must stop blogging about every single item Blake Lively is wearing on her Savages promo tour” goal we set ourselves isn’t proving difficult at all, honest. We’ve been crushing on her Savages promo tour wardrobe for the past week now, but it’s her brand new duties at Gucci that we are focusing our attention on this morning. Ok, you caught us, we’ll fess up – we are finding it extremely difficult to not gush about Blake Lively every single day. We knew her Savages promotion would mean that we’d see a lot more of her on the red carpet and we’d have to refrain from writing about her every single day, but we didn’t know she was going to make it so gosh darn difficult for us. But it’s ok, we found ourselves a loophole. Where there’s a Blake there’s a way… or something to that effect. We noticed that both Blake Lively and Rihanna were rocking red trouser suits these past couple of days, so we thought we’d present you guys with the pics and ask you for your verdict! Blake arrived at Good Morning America in a striking red tux by Michael Kors; an unpredictable choice but one which we utterly adore! Look how chic she is! Rihanna, another frequent lady on our celebrity style radar, also turned up the heat in a red hot tux! The Bajan singer went for a red and pink Acne trouser suit right here in London. Blake Lively stuns in Zuhair Murad Couture at the Savages premiere

Well what do you know, Blake Lively looked absolutely breathtaking at the LA premiere of Savages last night – shock horror! As if anyone doubted that she would look anything but a vision of utter perfection, though. The stunning actress – and new face of Gucci – rocked the red carpet in a figure-hugging black and nude Zuhair Murad gown from the Spring Couture 2012 collection which pretty much fit her like a glove. We always said that Jennifer Lopez and Zuhair Murad were a match made in heaven (he is creating her tour wardrobe after all) but we think he and Blake also make a pretty indestructible team too. The dress is indisputably stunning, but it doesn’t act alone in making Blake’s overall look so wow-worthy. Her old Hollywood glamour girl side-swept waves, subtle jewellery, pillar box red lips and crescent nails also contribute to the sartorial magic. Flawless!

Very exciting news this afternoon – Blake Lively has just been revealed as the face of Gucci Première, the fashion House’s brand spanking new perfume. Yippee! Now Blake and Leighton Meester (who is the face of Vera Wang’s ‘Lovestruck’ scent) can be fragrance buddies! “In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood’s golden era,” said Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director. “Blake’s unique style and charisma brings that allure to life in a very contemporary way.” The print campaign has been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and the video commercial was directed by award-winning Nicolas Winding Refn. We will of course share these with you as soon as they drop – you know we don’t like to keep you in suspense for too long! Gucci Première will premiere, if you will, next month. Excited?

As her on-screen ego Serena van der Woodsen, we are used to seeing Blake Lively strutting around on set in all manner of Lavin, Chanel and Louboutin. That’s why, when this picture of Blake landed on our desk, we couldn’t believe how dressed down the 24-year-old looked. She looked effortlessly cool as she hung around in New York wearing dark blue skinny jeans, a sparkly red and black striped sweater and hooded leather jacket. It looks like she hung up her heels for the day too, instead opting for a pair of tough looking flat boots. We especially love her ultra glitzy top – who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle in December, after all?! While we’re sure Blake hasn’t retired from her designer threads permanently, it’s good to see her looking so laid-back and stylish. Top marks also for her natural hair and makeup, too. Muse and friend of Monsieur Christian Louboutin, Blake Lively isn’t shy of wearing a high heel or two, so it must be super handy to have the shoe designer extraordinaire on speed dial.   She was guest of honour at a cocktail party at Barneys, New York, at the weekend to celebrate his 20th year in the business and, wearing a tiny Dolce & Gabbana floral lace dress, she stood out from the crowd by a mile. The floral bustier-style top and black crochet lace skirt worked impeccably well together and was perfect cocktail party attire. On her feet she opted for a pair of multi-coloured snakeskin heels from Louboutin (natch), which the designer must have approved of, seeing as over joyously carried Blake out of the building! Her signature long and loose blonde locks gave a sexy and carefree vibe to her look and her minimal make-up stopped Blake from looking too over done. They’re both blonde, they’re both A-Listers and they have the same taste in colour popping dresses. But the question is, who wore this tantalising turquoise Tibi mini-dress best? First up is Blake Lively, who donned the dress for an outing in New York. Her endless legs showcase the short hemline and pleated skirt perfectly. In true Blake style, her waves are relaxed yet groomed, and her make-up looks flawless, with a hint of pink lips. What do we love most about this outfit – the contrasting Charlotte Olympia leopard print heels, they show that Blake can dare to have fun with fashion! Brownie points go to Taylor for cinching the dress in at the waist with a skinny gold belt and for her curly up-do that allows the dress to shine. But we don’t love her uninspiring bow detailed cream pumps. We much prefer Blake’s walk on the wild side in her loud leopard heels. Blake Lively’s become a redhead!

The gorgeous Blake Lively is known as much for flowing tresses as she is her impeccable sense of style, so we were a little surprised this morning to see that she’s dyed those beach blonde waves red. Red! Appearing at the Times magazine 100 Most Influential People party last night, she debuted her brand new ‘do on the red carpet with a mane to match, showcasing inches of full, bouncy, auburn waves.  Red locks are quite the rage at the moment, it appears, having been spotted on the heads of Rihanna and Cheryl Cole, so was it just a matter of time before Blake embraced the look? Unlikely. Apparently her new hair is for a film role as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming Oz: The Great and the Powerful movie, which would explain those rumours a while back, too (though teamed with her turquoise Zuhair Murad gown and towering Louboutins, she’d be equally suited for the role of Ariel, we reckon). Film roles aside, we’re unsure whether this racy colour suits Blake. It’s a bit too dramatic for her relaxed style and makes her look old beyond her years. With a perfect figure, luscious long locks and access to one of the greatest on-set wardrobes ever, Blake Lively is easily one of the most envied women on the plane. And yesterday she gave us another reason to wish we could trade places with her. She was spotted yesterday at CinemaCon – a film convention in Las Vegas – promoting her new film The Green Lantern, which means this stunning spring Dolce & Gabbana outfit was essentially just her workwear. We adore her look – the crisp silk lace dress screams sleek, sophisticated and sexy, whilst the sharp white blazer and grey suede shoe boots completed the ensemble and cleverly complemented her Californian tan. And her accessorising was limited to spring’s hottest jewellery choice – a knuckle-duster ring – and her trademark tousled hair. If that outfit isn’t enough to make you green with envy then the fact that she stars opposite uber hunk Ryan Reynolds in her new film might just do it. Jealous? Us?
