Remember this Christopher Kane beauty we brought you? Well, when we saw two of our favourite A-listers sporting the very same dress, naturally we had to weigh in on this sartorial situation. Jennifer Hudson and Chloë Moretz stepped out in the same Christopher Kane bandage dress, albeit weeks apart, and to a very different effect. A riot of colour against a form-fitting black dress makes for easy-on-the-eye style, hence making our decision to pick a winner even tougher! Chloë got first dibs on said dress, wearing it to the Teen Choice Awards back in August, and even landing a spot on our Best Dressed list! Styled with a wispy down-do and ankle-strap sandals, minimal make-up completed the look. Jennifer attended Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party last week in the dress, completing her look with a red box clutch, bold lips, black pumps and a texturised pixie cut. Major hair love going out to you, Jen! But, as it’s a frock-off there can only be one winner….and, this week, we’re once again crowing glorious the uber-talented (and stylish) Chloe! Safe to say, this dress hardly needs any help stealing attention, and Jennifer’s accessorising efforts are a little wasted on her look. Agree with our style verdict? Whose look wins for you? Jennifer Hudson wears Stella McCartney at her Hollywood Walk of Fame star
Jennifer Hudson is the latest celeb to prove that less is more and simplicity really is key. The Oscar-winner was deservedly awarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and pulled out all the sartorial stops during the unveiling ceremony. Jennifer looked chic and beautiful in a white python jacquard Stella McCartney Resort 2014 dress, which she acessorised with matching white heels and some subtle but sparkly accessories. Pure perfection! Charlize Theron wore the same dress last month while attending the Variety 5th Annual Power of Women event, proving that two ladies can rock the same dress in totally different ways. However, despite some differences, both Charlize and Jennifer are united with their totally on-trend pixie cuts, which we think is the perfect hairstyle for a draped dress like this. As much as we love Victoria’s Secret style beach waves, we think they’d tamper with the fluidity and silhouette of the dress, so styling brownie points all round!
Read MoreKim Kardashian vs. Jennifer Hudson…Who Wore Donna Karan Better?
Dressed to perfection in the same silhouette-defining Donna Karan dress, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Hudson have forced our eyes to become fixated on their picture perfect figures! Stepping out after visiting the DASH store in West Hollywood earlier this month, Kim looked every inch the queen of perfect curves in the draped plunging-neckline dress. Accessorised with her lighter locks and suede courts in soft caramel, Kim was a vision of off-duty perfection with a polished edge. But giving one half of Kimye serious competition was red carpet regular, Jennifer Hudson, who also wore the Donna Karen dress earlier this month, to the Chicago International Film Festival premiere of The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete. Although Kim went in for the kill with a little cleavage display, Jennifer firmly buttoned up, accessorising with black ankle strap sandals, tumbling glossy curls and strong eyes. Truth be told, we love both Jen and Kim in this Donna Karan number, but being a Who Wore It Better contest, there can only be one winner. And this week, we’re firmly placing the crown on Kim’s head! We’re all for a flash of demure décolletage, and those soft-toned heels had us at hello! Jennifer looks great, too, but the look is pretty simple for a red carpet affair, and Kim’s styling brings a little edge to what is essentially an easy day dress. Agree with our fash-off verdict? Who wore Donna Karan better for you? [Images: Kim Kardashian; Jennifer Hudson]

If there’s one celeb who is walking, talking (and singing!) breathing proof that weight loss works when done right, it’s Jennifer Hudson. Hence why she was the guest of honour at the Weight Watchers milestone 50th anniversary dinner in New York last night. We couldn’t think of a more appropriate spokesperson, could you? Jennifer looked divine in her getup, keeping things simple with a plain black top and figure-hugging metallic high-waisted Donna Karan skirt. We’d want our curves to be evident if we had her hot bod, too. This look is also proof that it’s possible to show off your figure without overexposing yourself – chic, classy, everything we love about J-Hud in a nutshell basically. Plus, we adore her natural make up and soft, wavy hair. Top marks!

If you want some snow-day celeb inspiration, then look no further than Jennifer Hudson braving the chill at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. The singer kept out the cold in style, by rocking the Karl Lagerfeld and Kanye West approved monochrome trend like a pro. Jen wrapped up warm with the Coach Legacy puffer jacket (which you can get online right now – and in loads of different colours if you don’t fancy the white) as well as some totally on-trend studded gloves and knee-high black boots – possibly one of the most essential pieces in everyone’s wardrobe this winter. So if you’re going out to play in the snow this afternoon (or just want to make tomorrow’s journey into work just that tad more stylish) then take a look at some of the pieces we’ve selected to help you recreate Jennifer Hudson’s look. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is, in fact, Jennifer Hudson showing off her new slamming size 8 figure in a super sexy bodycon number. The actress-come-singer was spotted looking picture-perfect at her album release party in New York earlier this week, and we’re loving her look. The patterned dress flattered her figure, and by keeping the accessories simple with patent black platforms and understated jewellery, she let her the dress and her new body do all the talking. Patterned, shiny and bodycon is no easy combination to pull off, but Jennifer receives top marks from us. What do you think of Jennifer’s look: tantalising or tacky? Did she need to lose weight? Read MoreJennifer Lawrence is Time’s best dressed of the year!
Congratulations to America’s girl-next-door Jennifer Lawrence. Not only did she walk away with the Best Actress Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook earlier this year and front the coveted September issue of American Vogue, but she has also topped Time’s best-dressed list! And the Dior dress she wore while collecting her aforementioned Academy Award was the reason why! From America’s sweetheart to Britain’s sweetheart, Kate Middleton landed the second spot, with Time referencing the pale blue Emilia Wickstead dress she wore at the beginning of her pregnancy as a noteworthy outfit. We think all of Kate’s outfits deserve praise, but we agree that her Emila Wickstead dress was particularly exceptional. Solange Knowles, Kate Hudson and Rihanna also landed a spot in the Top 10, as did Miley Cyrus thanks to the glittering green Marc Jacobs dress she recently wore. The interesting thing about Miley however, is that she also appeared in the worst dressed Top 10 too. In fact the latex bikini she wore while performing at the MTV VMAs landed her in the very top position. Er, congrats Miley… or something like that. Click here to check out the full best-dressed list and let us know if you agree with Time’s decisions.

Ok so there’s only 11 days until actual Christmas, but we have to admit that awards season gets us more excited than any festive holiday. Sorry Santa! We revel in the excitement of staying up all night and keeping a beady eye on who is wearing who on the red carpet while predicting which famous faces will walk away with the coveted accolades. The Golden Globes are the awards that ease us into awards season and really set the bar for the other ceremonies to come, so without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the lucky (and of course talented) names to be nominated for an award. And so the night we’ve been waiting for finally arrived. Held at the Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre and without a host, the 91st Academy Awards took place yesterday. Olivia Colman stole our hearts with her acceptance speech. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper nearly brought us to tears with their performance of Shallow, while Bohemian Rhapsody took home the most awards with Black Panther, Roma and Green Book coming a close second. But as always, it was the red carpet dresses that had people talking. Who was wearing what, who looked good in what, and whom should have sacked their stylists on the spot. While we have a few thoughts about the latter, here we’re giving a rundown on which celeb outfits we loved. Hollywood glam at its finest, Amy Adams looked amazing in custom Versace Letitia Wright kept it simple and sophisticated in Dior haute couture Ashley Graham accentuated her show-stopping figure in Zac Posen Constance Wu turned heads in a canary yellow Versace gown Emilia Clarke looked gorgeous in custom Balmain Jennifer Hudson was stunning in an Elie Saab one shouldered dress Jennifer Lopez shone in a metallic turtleneck Tom Ford fitted dress. And so it begins! The People’s Choice Awards officially marks the beginning of our favourite time of the year – awards season! It’s when you start to notice who will be dominating the red carpet over the coming weeks, not to mention who will be scooping up the shiny accolades. Yep, the People’s Choice Awards is the perfect ceremony to kick off the proceedings, and as a whole, we were quite impressed with what we saw on the all-important arrivals red carpet. Sandra Bullock, the lady we will be keeping our eye on throughout awards season, didn’t let us down as she gave us a bright, bold, print-tastic look thanks to her Peter Pilotto dress. Anna Faris went in the totally opposite direction, and went for chic, subtle and understated in a beaded Naeem Khan top and trouser combo hot off the spring/summer 2014 runway. Britney Spears also went for the nude theme (nude illusion, not Miley Cyrus naked) in a gorgeous Mikael D dress, while Jennifer Hudson also championed the minimal trend in a sleek white Kaufmanfranco dress. Take a look at our highlights from the People’s Choice Awards 2014 red carpet below and let us know who gets your best dressed vote. Jennifer Hudson in Kaufmanfranco Ana Faris in Naeem Khan Sandra Bullock in Peter Pilotto Naya Rivera in Michael Kors Nina Dobrev in Jenny Packham Allison Williams in David Koma Britney Spears in Mikael D Sarah Michelle Gellar in Sachin and Babi Jessica Alba in Jason Wu Kat Dennings in David Meister Beth Behrs in Giulietta Emily Deschanel in Max Azria

The annual American Music Awards took place in LA last night, and it’s pretty safe to say that the ladies – whether they worked in music or not – did their bit to make sure they stood out on the red carpet, on stage, and even in the audience. White was a big theme on the red carpet, with Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie opting to wear the shade – or lack thereof – as they arrived at the ceremony. While a newly-slimmed down Christina and perma-skinny Nicole went for dresses with cut-out detailing to show off their toned and flawless figures, Miley went for a chic tux instead. Didn’t expect that, did you? Elsewhere on the red carpet, the wow factor continued with a stunning Oscar de la Renta look from Katy Perry, a dazzling Dolce and Gabbana dress from Ariana Grande, and a Versace-clad Lady Gaga arriving on a white horse. We couldn’t make it up! See the rest of our red carpet hits below and let us know who your favourite is… Katy Perry in Oscar de la Renta Taylor Swift in Julien Macdonald Ariana Grande in Dolce and Gabbana Lady Gaga in Versace Jennifer Hudson in Christian Dior Naya Rivera in Michael Kors Christina Aguilera in Maria Lucia Hohan Zoe Saldana in Roland Mouret Miley Cyrus in Versus Versace Ciara in J Mendel Heidi Klum in Marchesa Nicole Richie in Emilio Pucci

It’s finally here! The biggest night in Hollywood (and the first date we earmark in our calendars and diaries every year without fail) is finally here! Ladies and gentlemen, the 85th Academy Awards, aka The Oscars, are happening right now and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ve been live tweeting all the red carpet arrivals for the past few hours – a big thank you to each and every one of you who joined the conversation and made it a memorable night – so now it’s time to sit back and reflect on some of our favourite looks of the night with the main ceremony taking place on our televisions in the background. Talk about multi-tasking! There were a few ladies in particular whose red carpet looks we were waiting with baited breath to see, and thankfully not a single one of them disappointed us with their sartorial decisions. Nominees Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway looked breathtaking in their respective Dior Haute Couture, Armani Prive and Prada dresses, each going for different but equally stunning looks. We heard on the grapevine that Anne Hathaway was due to wear Valentino but changed her mind a matter of hours before stepping onto the carpet. Although we think she looked incredible in her Prada dress, we can’t help but wonder what Valentino had in store for her! We think the “go big or go home” mantra applies to the Oscars more than any other award ceremony of the year, which is why we applaud the ladies who really take it seriously. A Dior-clad Jennifer Lawrence looked like a true Princess, which is certainly one way of interpreting the dress code, while Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, Catherine Zeta Jones and Adele were just some of the ladies who went for the sparkle […]

Truth be known, Victoria Beckham’s had a tough ride in the fashion industry, though it seems after showing her fourth dress collection to much success, she may have just found a place in even the coldest of editors’ hearts. Oh say it isn’t so! According to Grazia one of our favourite ladies will be laid to rest in the new movie, subsequently killing off the foursome that we’ve grown to know and love. Ahhh! Well I suppose we can console ourselves with the knowledge that Charlotte finally gets pregnant and Big is still looking as handsome as ever! Fashion addicts can swoon over some of the outfits here. Its great to see that stylist, Patricia Field has ensured that the ladies retain their original style whilst keeping it fresh by incorporating some of the latest trends. Charlotte is still polished and pretty, Carrie as always is ten steps ahead with her quirky ways, Miranda is unashamedly bold (I love her look in the picture after the jump. She looks stunning!) and Samantha is very much the power player.

These days I find analysing red carpet dresses pretty tedious, everyone plays it so safe and when one star does attempt to be slightly fashion forward and take a risk they get criticised a hundred times over. Example? Jennifer Hudson in Oscar de la Renta. I just don’t agree with the masses on this one, her jacket was cute and complimented her figure. No doubt Andre Leon Talley, the man supposedly responsible for the apparent disaster that was her outfit won’t be asked to lend his efforts anytime soon, even if he is Anna Wintour’s right hand man.
Read MoreWhy So Many People Choose Made In Italy
Made in Italy is a merchandise mark related to all those products which are created and packed in Italy. It refers to all fields, from food to design, but the real Made in Italy makes people think of fashion. When we heard this mark, we think about Milan with its Fashion Week and shows, about incredible fashion designers such as Valentino, Gucci, Armani, D&G, about handmade dresses and shoes, a glossy and stylish world. Made in Italy is worth 85 billion dollars and fashion brands account for 30% of the whole value. It is a guarantee of high quality fashion and no other country can offer Italian craftsmanship and artistry of manufacturing. That is why Made in Italy continues to grow and leads the way in terms of luxury and fashion revenues; Made in Italy widened its horizon and looked towards East markets: countries such as Russia, China and United Arab Emirates increased more than any other country their expenses for luxury and fashion goods during the past five years. But at the moment Made in Italy is chosen worldwide. Many stars wear high fashion dresses by Italian designers: Salma Hayek wore Gucci in the latest edition of BAFTA Awards, Dakota Johnson too for the Golden Globe Awards 2018, while for the same event Diane Kruger chose Prada. Nicole Kidman loves Valentino and Angelina Jolie often wears Versace dresses. VIPs’ love for Made in Italy is also visible “on their feet”: Italian handmade shoes are a must-have for some celebrities, even when they travel in disguise. For example Jennifer Lopez has a pair of Gucci sneakers, when she is not wearing Italian dresses. In this sector, there are many Italian shoe designers, such as Loriblu, who are still manufacturing handmade shoes in Italy. They have an incredible attention to every […]

Many celebrities are well-known style gurus who can’t help but launch new fashion trends. Because celebs frequently jet-set around the world, they’re able to pick up on up-and-coming fashion trends in fashionable places like Milan, Paris, or even the streets of Harajuku in Japan. If you enjoy keeping up with the hottest styles, be sure to check out what some of your favourite celebrities are wearing. Superga Italian shoes have long been revered for their high quality and effortless style, but the latest shoe craze to come out of Italy isn’t high heels or leather loafers–it’s Superga sneakers. European uber-fashionistas are sporting Superga sneakers and celebs like Jennifer Aniston and Katie Holmes. Over-the-Knee Boots If you are sporting a mini dress or skirt, consider ramping up the wow factor of your outfit sleek and colorful over-the-knee boots. Celebrity Katharine McPhee recently wore a pair of wine-colored boots with her gray-knit mini dress and the result was jaw-dropping chic. Jennifer Lawrence was also seen departing a car in a pair of over-the-knee black boots. Camel Color Gigi Hadid is a major fashionista these days. She’s been wearing camel, a rich and elegant shade that is perfect for autumn sweaters and wraps. The warm brown and spicy tones of camel clothing are a nice change of pace for ladies who find themselves gravitating toward neutral shades. Off-the-Shoulder Dresses Maybe it’s easier for Angelina Jolie to look like a classic Grecian goddess when wearing an off-the-shoulder gown or dress, but there’s something incredibly timeless about this fashion. One of the reasons that Angelina makes this style work is that she only bares that single shoulder; the rest, she leaves covered up to add to her mystery. Military Coats Military-style jackets and coats have been in and out of the fashion pages over the […]
Read MoreHow to Accessorize White Clothing
The summer season is almost here, and many people are ready for lighter shades of clothing. Instead of layering bulky pieces of clothing, they might consider a simple white shirt with shorts. Also, some women might wear a white dress. These options are more comfortable for the hotter temperatures. However, they can lack interest without accessories. Fortunately, it is easy to wear a few necklaces, bracelets, or a fun hat to make the most of your summer white clothing. In particular, the following suggestions will help you accessorize your white ensembles. Pendant Necklaces When you are wearing a white dress or shirt, you should consider wearing accessories that are more visual. A simple necklace will not stand out against a basic t-shirt. However, a beautiful pendant necklace will be more noticeable and create interest with your outfit. Even better, this added bulk does not create warmth with your outfit. Therefore, you will still be able to breathe when it’s hot outside. Layering Necklaces If you do not like the idea of statement necklaces, layering them might be a good option for you. You can wear these at different lengths along your neck. They are designed to coordinate together. However, they usually do not look exactly the same. When worn correctly, they can create a nice juxtaposition that is fashion forward. Wrap Bracelets When you are wearing a basic white outfit, it is difficult to overdo it with your accessories. This is why wrap bracelets look so great during the summertime. Chanluu’s wrapped bracelets here are usually a mixture of beads and leather and go far beyond your traditional bracelet. The detailing on them is intricate and beautiful. Many women pair them with other bracelets to create a unique combination that is unlike anyone else’s. However, wrap bracelets can also be […]

The wait is finally over – the biggest red carpet day in Hollywood has officially arrived, and if you’ve been following us on Twitter, you’ll probably already know that we’ve been pretty excited about it! Popcorn, coffee, tablets (the technological kind), laptops and phones were on standby throughout the night to make sure we didn’t miss a single second of the 86th Academy Awards! We were waiting for 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o’s arrival with baited breath, and think she definitely saved the best dress for last. She stepped onto the red carpet in a custom-made Prada dress that came in a stunning duck egg blue colour, complete with the hottest accessory of the night: a sparkling head band! Cate Blanchett – another one of our red carpet faves – didn’t let us down with her sartorial choice either, looking sensational in a Giorgio Armani dress that she owned from the second she stepped out of her car. Charlize Theron wowed the crowd in a black Dior gown (it pains us to say it, but we think her Dior dress trumped Jennifer Lawrence’s one – we still love you though, J-Law!), as did Kate Hudson and Jessica Biel in their respective and sensational Atelier Versace and Chanel Couture dresses. And it goes without saying, but Angelina Jolie stole the show in her bedazzling Elie Saab Couture dress and more or less put everyone else in the shade when she and Brad Pitt arrived just in the nick of time. Once again, we think the stars outdid themselves on the red carpet this year, meaning we had a bit of a tough time narrowing down our ultimate favourites. Check out our highlights from the Oscars 2014 red carpet, and don’t forget to tell us who gets your best-dressed vote […]

Snow may very well have been forecast here in the UK, but it was a totally different story across the pond, as the stars of Tinsel Town were well and truly scorching for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. Next to the Oscars, this really is our favourite of the awards ceremonies, as it gives the stars from some of the best TV shows and films of the moment the chance to step out onto the red carpet and celebrate their greatness. Red was one of the key colours of the evening, with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Zooey Deschanel and Claire Danes stepping out in varying hues of the shade. Despite colour being very prominent, we also had some cracking black gowns courtesy of Kate Hudson, Eva Longoria, Sofia Vergara, Adele, Nicole Kidman and Sarah Hyland among others. Paler dresses came from the likes of Lea Michele, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Hayden Panettiere, Megan Fox and Jessica Chastain. All in all, the Golden Globes 2013 were a roaring success on the red carpet hence our larger-than-average best dressed list this morning. Who was your favourite? So, in case you hadn’t heard, it RAINED at the Golden Globes and, hold the phone , some A listers even held their own umbrellas. Now, as big as that news was , we were more concerned with the award winners, Ricky Gervais’ presenting job and of course, the dresses. See below for a pick of red carpet hits – alongside the occasional miss… Olivia Wilde – Gucci The House star and former OC actress went for the glamour vamp look for the red carpet, noting that her Gucci gown would be sold off at auction. Proceeds will be going towards the support efforts in Haiti. Julianne Moore – Balenciaga We love Julianne Moore but this Balenciaga gown just doesn’t seem to sit right and has ended up looking a little unflattering. Still, she got to spend the night with Tom Ford as her date so she gets extra fashion credit for that one! January Jones – Lanvin It might be black but there is nothing boring about the Mad Men star’s full length Lanvin ensemble. The actress added a bit of prom night glamour with a matching satin headband and Brian Atwood platforms. Jennifer Morrison – Luis Antonio Major congratulations to Jennifer Morrison who has nabbed a boyfriend that can go out and do her clothes shopping, successfully. The House star proudly told the red carpet that she received this textured number from Puerto Rican designer, Luis Antonio for Christmas. We bet she was one of a few wearing something from their own wardrobe! Kristen Bell – Jasmine di Milo We can’t understand why Kristen Bell told the world she wore a shorter dress to the ceremony because she needed to ‘to be able to move like a tiger’ but we’ll let it pass because this Jasmine di Milo […]
