One dress, two girls. Yep, you know the drill. This week, at fashion loggerheads are singers Nicki Minaj and Brandy, who recently stepped out in an identical, black Alexander McQueen gown, from the spring 2014 collection. Featuring a cut-out design around the waist area, and a strap running across the top of the chest, the figure-skimming gown made for a demure evening look. First up to take to the red carpet in the gown was Brandy, when she attended the 45th NAACP Awards Non-Televised Awards Ceremony back in February. Opting for sleek tresses and minimal accessories – save for a clutch and cocktail ring – Brandy rounded of her look with strong evening-glam eyes and strappy sandals. But catching up with Brandy in the race for gown glory was rap queen Nicki Minaj, who wore the same look to the Billboard Awards earlier this month. Having recently debuted a more subdued side to her over-the-top Barbie persona, the singer gave us a very sultry red carpet look. Retro waves, two wrist cuffs and statement earrings provided the perfect finishing touches to Ms. Minaj’s most un-Barbie look, whilst make-up was kept extremely subtle. The one standout ‘feature,’ we have to say, was the clever display of underboob that peeped out from under the cut-out detail. Well, it’s Nicki… So, whose look takes the trophy this week? We’re giving this one to…Nicki! Everything, from the muted accessories to the expert flash of cleavage, works for this look. Surprising, we know, but Nicki’s nailed this one without taking it into trashy territory. Brandy looks great, too, but the look just doesn’t scream “WOW!” on her. Agree with our style verdict? Whose look wins for you [Images: Brandy; Nicki]

Nicki Minaj tones it down in floor-length Alexander McQueen at The Other Woman premiere
We thought we would take a break from gushing about the Duchess of Cambridge’s Australian Tour wardrobe and turn our attention to another famous face instead. That’s not to say Kate Middleton’s latest look wasn’t as noteworthy as her previous ones. Au contraire, her latest pastel pink Alexander McQueen ensemble was as dreamy as ever. Click here to check it out if you can’t bear the thought of not knowing what our future Queen wore. We couldn’t let this Nicki Minaj look slip away though, because we think the singer and rapper looks absolutely phenomenal. We thought the understated and toned down look that she debuted on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet earlier this month was a one-time thing, but we’re thrilled to see Ms Minaj carry it on. Akin to Kate Middleton, Nicki Minaj also wowed in an Alexander McQueen creation. Nicki wore her white floor-length dress to the Los Angeles premiere of The Other Woman, and although other beauties such as Kate Upton and Cameron Diaz also feature in the film, we definitely think Nicki stood out for all the right reasons this time. Sure the neck is a little on the plunging side, but we think it’s just the right side of daring; plus her natural hair colour, lack of bold accessories, and understated make-up lets her get away with it. We hope this Nicki Minaj is here to stay for a little while longer!

Celebs and their addiction to posting selfies on their social networking sites sure do make our job a heck of a lot easier. Style stalking has never been so simple as the celebs bring their looks straight to our computer screens, which means we can pass judgment on their outfits the second they debut them without leaving our office chairs. Nicki Minaj is the latest celeb to grab our attention with a picture she posted on Instagram, as she looked simply stunning in an Alexander McQueen stained glass print dress from the latest pre-fall collection. Her bright pink lipstick and matching nails were perfect for that colour clashing yet complementary vibe, and her minimal accessories (bar a chunky gold bracelet) ensured all the attention remained on her intricately detailed dress. A fairly understated look a far as Nicki Minaj’s usual outfit choices are concerned and we absolutely love it! From head to toe, her Minajesty looks flawless!

This month it’s all about making history. First Andy Murray became the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years, and now Nicki Minaj has become the first ever rapper to cover Marie Claire US! What took the mag so long, eh? Nicki is looking fierce on the Marie Claire US August issue, rocking a Fausto Puglisi dress like a true pro. Despite wearing a Mohawk in one of the editorial pics, it’s quite a refined photoshoot by Nicki’s standards, which just goes to show that she can do understated as well as eccentric. It’s a pretty well known fact that Nicki Minaj exudes confidence on and off the stage, so she doesn’t strike us as someone who would be shy about approaching the opposite sex. Luckily, she dished out the advice for how to entice and seduce a man… “Don’t chase any man,” she began. “Put your school first. Men love independent women. You don’t have to be a bitch, but there’s nothing wrong with it at times. And: Men are kids at heart. They want to be nourished and pet like a dog.” Erm, you read it here first! Marie Claire US August hits newsstands on July 16th. Click here for some more sneaky peaks at her photooshoot.

Nicki Minaj, who is is seldom seen without her war paint, has had one heck of a make-under for the Elle US April issue… and it’s not even restricted to the cover – she’s au natrurale in the entire shoot! Who would have thunk it? “When I saw myself with barely any makeup at, it was such a… like, I’m so, so attached to my pink lipstick, it’s hard. I feel that it’s become a part of me,” she said in the mag. “To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes- you know, nothing – I felt naked. It was scary! So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.” We’re proud of you, Nic. And best of all, she still manages to look fierce and sexy without a full face of make-up, green hair, and all other eccentricities. Nicki was shot by Thomas Whiteside and styled by Joe Zee; do you think they did a good job?

Read MoreNicki Minaj covers V Magazine
Possibly one of the most fascinating musical figures to emerge of as late, the sharp-tongued, tough-talking hip-hop princess Nicki Minaj has certainly put a profound feminine stamp on a male orientated world – and we’re always game for a bit of girl power. With an equally eccentric style to match, Ms. Minaj has now found her way on the cover of this month’s V Magazine – suitably titled ‘The Discovery Issue’ – shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and this hard-hitting lyrical genius has certainly gained a huge amount of new-found respect in the music industry (heck, we think she’d even give Lady Gaga a run for her money). The dual cover issue sees the Trinidadian rapper dressed in a series of extravagant and theatrical designer outfits – all thanks to Mark Fast and Versace that is – with some rather strange Kiss-like make-up to match, all of which had to reach her personal approval first. “Everything I do has been approved by me personally,” she tells V. “My team is mostly made up of guys, but none of them would ever think about telling me what to wear or what to do with my hair. They know that ultimately I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do.” And with her debut album Pink Friday just a mere few months old, this femme fatale makes her own music and doesn’t care if you don’t like it. “I’m an entertainer – I like to make people laugh,” she says. “Some will hate it and some will love it, but all will remember it. And that’s what I want: to be remembered.” It’s always refreshing to see a strong-willed and determined female. The January issue of V magazine hits newsstands today – take a look through our gallery below to see […]

In 1896, Louis Vuitton’s son Georges introduced the iconic LV Monogram canvas pattern, those brown and beige initials that scream luxury. From past icons to current trailblazers who are setting the trends right now, here’s a comprehensive deep dive into the best fashion designers without whom the fashion industry just wouldn’t be the same. 1. Coco Chanel If there’s one iconic fashion designer who’s influenced the industry more than any other, it’s definitely Coco Chanel. She brought something new to the table, freeing women from the restrictions of frills and corsets, instead offering up simple, comfortable styles. And today, more than 50 years after her passing, her influence is still felt. Coco Chanel’s early life wasn’t an easy one, marked by tragedy and hardship. This year’s Grammys were eventful to say the least but not even Kanye could steal the spotlight from the ladies that ruled the red carpet. The biggest trend without a shadow of a doubt was a heavy dose of bling, glam and figure hugging dresses, but thankfully there were those who broke the rules and thought outside of the box. Naturally Rihanna rebelled and we’re so glad she did! Love or hate her outfit at least she gave us something different! Here’s our 10 best dressed celebs… Wearing one of our fave couture looks this season courtesy of Giambattista Valli, Rihanna was a delight in this show-stopping, pink strapless gown. Cue all the “cupcake” jokes….. Always one of our red carpet favourites, Chrissy Teigen failed to disappoint in this perfect white floor-length gown by Emilio Pucci. Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her gorgeous long legs in this Saint Laurent sparkly number paired with beautiful stilettos. Custom made by Proenza Schouler, Beyoncé opted for a plunging v-neck gown to accentuate her bootylicious curves. Katharine McPhee’s first Grammy red carpet saw the singer looking lovely and demure in an Emilio Pucci coral cut-out evening gown with silver hardware. Deciding not to opt for a traditional dress, Gwen Stefani as usual was on trend in this edgy Atelier Versace strapless jumpsuit with netting detail. Yes, yes and yes! Elie Saab is to thank for this ADORABLE combination of evening gown meets party dress complimented perfectly with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and modelled to perfection on Taylor Swift. Rocking none other than Tom Ford, Nicki Minaj was nothing short of stunning. Classic, understated and absolutely gorge. We’ve been loving Versace’s red carpet gowns of late and this beauty on Ariana Grande is no exception. With chainmail detail and cut-outs in all the right place, Ariana gets a thumbs up […]

What better way to cement your return than on the cover of Vogue Australia? Model and actress, Gemma Ward graces the cover in Dior Couture and we think she looks fab. Celebrating it’s 55th anniversary, Vogue Australia is the fourth oldest in the world after it’s counterparts Vogue US, UK and France. In other mag cover news, are you loving the the December issue covers as much as we are? Kate Moss has not one but two for Vogue UK of which we prefer the simple shot of Kate wearing a named necklace. In contrast, Nicki Minaj is decadent and fierce on the cover of V Magazine. Like Kate, Nicki was photographed by Mario Testino and she certainly left an impression. Testino tweeted, “Nicki rocked us with her looks and her strength. She was comfortable in all situations.’I was amazed by her.” Shot by Steven Meisel, Carolyn Murphy looks every inch the supermodel for Vogue Italia while inspirational Carey Mulligan glows for Harpers Bazaar. Last but not least, she’s back causing a storm on Instagram….how could we not include our beloved Rih Rih. Hitting stands on 18th of November, Rihanna shines on the cover of Elle US

Well, one can never accuse Nicki Minaj of being boring right? Host of the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards as well as performer, the rapper treated fashion lovers everywhere to at least eight outfit changes which included a playful Golf inspired piece by Alexander Wang, a red to-die-for cocktail mini-dress and a sheer black evening gown. And while we weren’t really too keen on her white cut-out Cavalli number, credit where credit is due, we have to give Miss Minaj a high-five for this Saint Laurent sequinned dress which showed off her pins beautifully. Stunning. Highlight of the night? Yes, Nicki flew on to the stage in a 14ft ruffled dress. Yes, One Direction took home three awards. Yes, Ozzy Osbourne was rightly honoured as a global icon and yes, Alicia Keys did absolutely glow in a floor-length silver gown but nothing and we mean nothing could beat the legend that is “The Hoff” in a kilt.

With Stella McCartney designing a clothing collection inspired by Disney’s Maleficent and MAC announcing a collaboration with The Simpsons, cartoons, animation and all things 2D are hotter than ever right now. So, it comes as no surprise to learn that a hot new animated 2D inspired trend is here thanks to Taipei-based design duo, Rika Lin and Chay Su and their Jump From Paper vision. The pair’s aim was to make people’s imaginations come to life by creating bags that look like they jumped straight out of a cartoon. The picture above isn’t altered in post-production either – just watch the video below for proof that what you see is what you get! “We love to confuse people, but more so, we love to see them burst out into laughter once they realize these are real bags.” said Chay and Rika. “Why take everything so seriously?” Quite. The designers used clever angles and bold lines to make their bags come to life, and if you fancy taking a look at them for yourselves you can check them out at London’s Saatchi Gallery. They’re also available to buy in over 25 countries, although we wouldn’t be surprised to find this number increase in the next couple of years. We think celebs like Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani and Solange Knowles would be all over these bags; what say you? [Daily Mail]

Music and movie stars alike gathered in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles last night, ready to take in the 2014 MTV Movie Awards action! Rihanna went sexy in a white Ulyana Sergeenko Couture number with a dangerously thigh high split (and she wasn’t afraid to show the crowd, either!) as did Rita Ora, who went the other way and wore a black Barbara Casasola dress with a provocative, plunging front. Going cute but high fashion were Lupita Nyong’o and Victoria Justice, who looked gorgeous in their respective Chanel and Atelier Versace dresses, while Nicki Minaj kept things surprisingly minimal and effortless in a black Alexander McQueen dress. We hate to be the bearers of bad news but since it’s our job to keep you updated with all the latest goings on in the world of fashion, we have no choice… Contrary to the rumours that were doing the rounds yesterday, British singing sensations Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – also known as One Direction – will not be performing in the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “The recent reports regarding One Direction appearing in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show are untrue,” the brand wrote in a statement. “The band is not performing in this year’s show. We will announce our artists in early October.” So, the boys won’t be following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars and more artists lucky enough to land the gig but we haven’t got long to wait until the lineup is announced. Who would you love to see perform alongside the likes of Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio and the other Victoria’s Secret Angels?
Read MoreThe art of ungratefulness, or is it?
If you’re one of these people who seethes with anger over the daily shenanigans of those swimming in pools of money, yet still bemoaning some petty aspect of their gilded life, then ‘ungrateful’ is probably the most used word in your celeb-hating lexicon. For us, we’re not so much seething, as we are perplexed, at the audacity of privileged individuals to complain about something most people would leap out of a plane unaided for. But, sometimes, scratching beneath the surface of a superstar’s discontent could reveal some really interesting stuff. Like when Gwyneth Paltrow publicly announced her dislike for this year’s Met Gala (you could’ve posted us your invite, y’know). Or when an ex-Victoria’s Secret, dollar-raking model suddenly decided to quit everything, up sticks and move to a town nearly two-and-a-half thousand miles west of New York. And it’s the latter story that mainly took us by surprise. Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosia; the names of just three of the many Angel’s who form part of a whimsical establishment which celebrates bejewelled bras and toned tums like the world’s existence depends on it. Paid in the millions, and elevating relatively unknown faces to supermodel status; anyone in their right minds wouldn’t kick such an offer in the face. Well, Kylie Bisutti (pictured) would argue otherwise. The ex-Angel quit the glitz and glamour of the modelling world in February last year, after claiming the industry made her feel like a ‘sex worker’. Now a devout Christian, Kylie felt that modelling in nothing more than skimpy smalls went against the fundamentals of her religious beliefs. But it was a particular photo shoot that pushed the promising model over the edge, making her realise she wasn’t conveying a positive message to a much younger generation of girls aspiring to her, and […]

Akin to Christina Aguilera (whose style we raved about yesterday) Mariah Carey has had her fair share of highs and lows on the red carpet. Luckily, her latest appearance on American Idol was the highest of the highs as she looked phenomenal in a stunning cut-out Alexander McQueen evening dress. (She clearly thought so too, as she tweeted quite a few pics – plus look how happy she is about it!) It’s quite hard to compete with fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj as far as eye-catching style is concerned, but we reckon Mazza stole the limelight on this occasion. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how green your hair is or how much crazy stage make up you have on, real glamour is always going to reign supreme. Mariah’s bold nails, super-glossy golden locks and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look glamorous diva look perfectly.

Bad news for likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga, as CBS has implemented a pretty strict dress-code for the 55th Grammy Awards this Sunday. Ri Ri, who is fond of flashing the flesh on the red carpet (as well as the stage, and her videos) famously wore a dangerously plunging Armani dress last year, but we don’t think she’ll be able to get away with something quite so revealing this time around. Sorry, boys! “Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered,” reads the statement issued by CBS. “Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack… Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. “Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts. Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera.” Well, there you have it. Do you agree with the guidelines or do you think half the fun has been taken out of the awards ceremony? [Coco Perez]

The EMAs may have just been and gone, but it was time for another celebration of all things musical last night, as the 40th Annual American Music Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. As predicted, the red carpet was full of beautifully-dressed stars not just from the music biz but from all walks of celebrity life. As well as the big musicians such as Gwen Stefani and Taylor Swift, the red carpet was also graced by the likes of top supermodel Heidi Klum and George Clooney’s gorgeous (and very lucky) girlfriend Stacy Keibler, amongst others. Although there was no dress code and obvious theme, the attendees kept things young, fun and flirty, with a definite nod to the upcoming festive season given all the sparkle! It was all quite understated, chic and beautiful, as even the likes of Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera swapped their loud, eccentric outfits for more conventional ones – and as a result, looked gorgeous in their respective gowns. (Yes, we know Nicki’s dress is a very bright yellow and doesn’t fit everyone’s definition of the word “understated”, but we definitely think she toned it down since she didn’t arrive towing her very own Pope…) Here’s a list of our best-dressed celebs from the event. So while all the boys in the audience will be entertained by Ri-Ri and the gorgeous Victoria’s Secret Angels, the ladies will also have some form of eye candy to gaze at too. The lineup is looking pretty strong, although we thought Nicki Minaj, Adam Levine, Kanye West and Jay Z were amazing last year too. The show will take place next month in the good old US of A, but will be televised all around the world. We’ll keep all you Brits updated with details on when and where to catch the show. [Vogue]
Read MoreLana Del Rey’s Style: Eccentric, experimental or explain, please?
This is not a post to knock down, smash to smithereens, and then build back up a singer, who by many, is held in high regard, but a complimentary offering to subtly convince them to sort our their damned wardrobe. Considering she’s relatively new talent, Lana Del Rey can definitely claim her stake of fame, after a revamped introduction into the music industry with debut track Video Games, followed up by the massive hit Born to Die; being snapped up by NEXT Model Management Agency and even having a Mulberry bag named in her honour. The voluptuous-lipped beauty is definitely a mesmerising singer and influencer, but quite the miserable dresser we hoped she wouldn’t be. That moment of fury, sudden disgust and initial shock-reaction gasp we’ve all endured at some point in our lives came for me the other day, when trawling through various fashion sites I landed on an image of Lana at the Evening of Environmental Excellence, in Los Angeles. Her attire raised many questions at once, which couldn’t all be processed into rational answers at the time, because, frankly, Lana’s style doesn’t fall into ‘rational’, either. Wearing a graphic printed blouse (great), dark jeans (on point) a statement medallion necklace (yes, I approve), Converse trainers (comfortable, fashionable) and a seriously misplaced faux fur coat (huh?), I couldn’t figure out, mentally, how to assess this muddled ensemble. See, Lana may have a hidden stylish streak, as awe-inspiring as her hypnotic vocals, but we only get to hear the latter and never see the former. Modern-era music artists have really taken to expressing their on-stage credentials through their choice of clothing and, no one has done this better than the eccentric, ‘Black Barbie’ embracing Nicki Minaj. With her bubblegum pink hair, copious amounts of bust-flashing, a conversation starting derriere and food-inspired […]
Read MoreYes, paying celebrities to attend fashion shows is a big deal, a huge one in fact.
Sitting front row at a modern day catwalk show is the equivalent of being front of the ration line in the 40s. You have a need(hunger, mouths to feed; fashion, trends) and a purpose (make good use of the ration coupon; deliver on next seasons trend) to fulfil. OK, maybe the example is extreme but the mentality is the same: If you’re in front, you’re perceived as having succeeded – the fashion house that is. Apparently, positioning certain celebrities at the front has been costing fashion houses dearly, whereby hefty fees have been handed out in exchange for about 20 minutes of their forced smile faces and super-toned bums to be parked on the front row. A move deeply condemned by French-born, London-based designer, Nicole Farhi. “It is so unprofessional. I have never paid a celebrity and I will never do it. It’s stupid”, she told Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine. Farhi, 65, went on to add that she was set on exposing the practice of backhand, cash-splashing seat-fixing deals so common in the fashion world, even if she risked the wrath of so many of her fellow fashion contemporaries. Even Lady Mary Chateris stuck in with a jibe, telling the Telegraph: “They pay people to be on the front row to show off the clothes where everyone can see them. That is where all of the photographs are taken.” Brave move ladies and one we welcome with open arms. It is almost precedence now, that before collection reviews even hit online fashion portals such as Style.com and Vogue.com, exactly which celebrity made an appearance (thanks to the ‘Front Row’ tab on show reviews), sat next to whom, wore what and expressed what on their faces as the first model walked out is scientifically documented. Nicki Minaj’s Technicolor wig and Eddie […]
Read MoreBest Dressed of the Week: Jessica Alba at the Michael Kors Fall 2012 show in New York
From the seat-stealing antics of perfectly dressed, past and present fashion editors, to the ostentatious displays of affection for a particular designer in the form of Nicki Minaj’s multicoloured synthetic mane and ‘fruit bowl’ outfits. Let’s be honest, front row fashion at the major fashion week shows is what we all really look forward to. But for this week’s BDOTW, we’re not falling for an over-hyped outfit, or one that hurts our eyes when we look at it. In fact, we’re digging the beautiful Jessica Alba’s simple but striking turquoise and leather Michael Kors dress she wore to the designer’s fall 2012 show (naturally). Gracing front row, Jessica’s turquoise keyhole sheath dress with a leather yoke from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection packed a punch, as she teamed it with an equally stand out Michael Kors black-and-white haircalf clutch and black ankle boots. Opting for tights to complete her look was a sensible choice, considering the freezing temperatures so many endured during NYFW. Jessica opted for a chicly swept back bun and dewy makeup, topped with a killer scarlet pout that sat in perfect harmony with the bold colour of her dress. Only Jessica could make such a simple dress option seems so exciting – when have we ever seen this fashion darling take a style stumble? Never’ comes to mind.
Read MoreSTYLE JURY: Rate or Slate Berenice Bejo in Alaïa, BEP Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier and Kim Kardashian in Antonio Berardi?
With the BAFTAs and the GRAMMY awards battling it out on the same day, there were some memorable fashion moments, and some we’d maybe like to wipe from memory. (Cue Nicki Minaj’s bizarre biblical guise, with the latest in accessories to boot: The Pope!) We selected three red carpet looks: risk taker Fergie at the Grammys in an interestingly loud, cut-out orange lace Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown; Kim Kardashian’s at Clive Martin’s Pre Grammy party in a figure-hugging Antonio Berardi number, which some would say struggled to cope with one out of her two most famous assets, and Berenice Bejo at the Disaronno BAFTA After-Party in a statement making (good or bad, we’re not sure) fall 2011 Alaia haute couture gown. As we indecisively teetered on borderline faux pas and style success, we put these looks to our Style Jury: you, and our Ed! My Fashion Life Ed says: Fergie – ‘I don’t want to like it but for some reason I do. On anyone else this outfit would be a disaster but somehow Fergie manages to pull it off!’. Kim – ‘A bit too much cleavage on show but regardless Kim looks gorgeous and elegant. The dress clings to her curves in all the right places!’. Berenice Bejo – ‘Sophisticated and beautiful! Love the dress and I love Berenice in the dress. Thumbs up!’ You say: Berenice – ‘Rate!’ Fergie – ‘Slate!’ Kim – ‘Rate!’ Verdict: RATE to the power of three! We must say it isn’t often that we take sides with red carpet risk takers. In Fergie’s case however, we’re making an exception because she really has made this one work. Although the brash colour and busy cut-out detailing is a tad distracting, Fergie makes it work, and the stark bra and bottoms bring it back from the brink of plain weird […]

In case you hadn’t noticed, MTV had a little awards party on Sunday. Yes, the 2011 VMAs took place over the weekend, and though it’s unlikely anyone can trump Beyonce’s baby news with something more exciting, we’re still having fun casting our eagle eye over the sartorial hits and misses today. And whether it’s Beyonce clutching her baby bump in glowing orange Lanvin, Katy Perry coming as a cake (again) or Lady Gaga dressing as a man, there’s quite the assortment. From the floor-sweeping gowns that graced the red carpet with aplomb to the what-were-you-thinking disasters that filled us with dread, take a look at our pick of the best and worst dressed from Sunday night’s ceremony (and yes, this does come with a warning). Read MoreWhat were you thinking: Leona Lewis
Remember when Leona Lewis first landed onto the scene with her head of blown out waves and safe-but-sweet dresses? Sure, it was nothing exciting, but we kind of liked it in an ordinary-girl-did-good way. Then she went blonde (a personal fave) and upped her game in McQueen, and then she tried to go a bit avant garde with futuristic outfits and silly fascinators. But we can get over that, y’know, sartorial experimentation and all. What we can’t get over is how she walked into her dressing room as Leona Lewis and came out as Nicki Minaj. We’re not going to get hung up on the dress – a kiss across the chest and a cut-out? Come on – we’re more concerned with Leona’s weight loss. Her neck looks taught and her face a little gaunt, not helped by her polka straight, super long extensions (note to long-faced girls: get some shape in that hair). Leona, who are you kidding, girl? We want to know your thoughts – do you love Leona’s look or does it make you want to Run (see what we did?)? Cast your vote below and comment in the box, folks! [poll id=”11″]

Read MoreCan You Guess Which Engagement Ring He Will Choose?
When you know he is going to pop the ‘big question’ (you’re convinced!), so many thoughts come to mind. Where will it happen? How will he surprise you? Do your parents know? So, so many questions… and the suspense only builds when it comes to the most crucial question of all: What will the ring look like?! Will it suit your style?! Will it be a classic ring? A custom ring? What diamond shape will he choose? The options for engagement rings is (seemingly) endless these days, making this question not such an “easy” one. That said, one can always use their imagination, and we may have found a way to ‘guess’ what ring your love decides to purchase for you… based on their personality! After all, you know your partner well (we hope!), so perhaps they fit into one of these categories… and the ring will prove it! True Traditional Does your spouse remind you of the long and beloved characters from the many romantic classics, bringing you flowers, leaving loving notes to be found? Maybe he pictures his future with you in a beautiful home, graced by a blooming garden, all set with a white picket fence? If this sounds accurate, it’s safe to say your partner could be defined as the ‘True traditional’, or in other words, the ‘Hopeless romantic’. Given his love for tradition, there is a high chance you will find your ring finger graced with a classic diamond on a gold band; the original representation of ‘true love’! The ‘Flasher’ Don’t panic… we aren’t referring to the idea of your spouse running naked through the streets (as some may have possibly done in Uni). We mean a different kind of ‘flash’ – the guy who has it all, in top quality. The best car, […]
