Model, Actress and designer Elizabeth Hurley will be hosting the British version of Project Catwalk, a reality tv competition in which 12 designers compete to make it in the world of fashion. The contestants will be given a series of fashion related tasks, and a panel of judges made up of journalists and established designers will choose the top 3 to showcase their designs at London Fashion week 2006.
Alongside the designer competition 12 models will also battle it out to be the designer’s muse. The programme will be aired next year on Sky One. 40 year old Hurley was chosen due to her accomplishments in the fashion industry, and was quoted as saying,
“It is a brilliant and hugely entertaining format,” she said. “The fledgling designers will be put through their paces and will be getting advice and help from the very best the industry has to offer.
“The models will get a real insight into the business, and I am genuinely excited at the prospect of being part of the launch of a hot new designer.”
