Who said modelling was easy? It most definitely wasn’t at the Viktor and Rolf show during Paris fashion week. To the horror of the fashion pack, the design duo sent their models uncomfortably tip toeing down the catwalk in clogs with massive spotlights on scaffolding along with sound systems attached to their backs. As far as concepts go – to make each model a self contained fashion show – it was an interesting one which I’m sure could have been communicated via less dangerous and demanding methods.
As far as fashion weeks go, Paris was my favourite this season for three reasons, Christian Dior, Hussein Chalayan and Sonia Rykiel.
