We all know the model’s version of the fairytale: willowy beauty is picked out amidst the masses for some ineffable quality and is immediately whisked off to grace the Fashion Week runways. The reality is often completely different, and many girls aspiring to be on the catwalks often never make it there—or they do, but never get the big campaign that will get them to the top level of modeling.

Unless, of course, you’re Siri Tollerød, and weeks after being discovered at a shopping mall you’re clad in head to toe Chanel, or Rodarte, or McQueen, or basically any other big name in fashion, picture being snapped by dozens of photographers. Her nearly overnight success is quite fitting; with her Scandinavian coloring, she wouldn’t be out of place in a fairytale herself.

Her look is at first somewhat fey and pixie-esque, but she has an almost magical ability that enables her to assume any style, whether it is classic French from Chloe or the gothic burlesque look from the Spring 2008 John Galliano show. Siri Tollerød has cast her spell on us, and we’ve got to say we’re quite pleased about it.
