Marc Jacobs is something of a fashionista’s darling. His shows are notoriously impossible to get into and he’s always at the trendsetting forefront.

Even when he seems to make a misstep (I’m thinking those sheer trousers from his Spring 08 collection) he somehow still comes out on top as sheer detailing has become a fashion favourite for a number of A-listers (done most recently by Selma Blair, in an MJ ensemble).

What sets Marc apart is that he is not afraid to take risks, and his risks consistently pay off.

In his latest move, which isn’t so much a risk but a departure from his designer path, Marc himself channels none other than Andy Warhol for Interview magazine.

The images are utterly compelling; Marc sports a new crimson coif and you can see his many tattoos. Most of the images see him dressed in drag and killer high heels.
