I’m not going to lie, when it comes to hair products I don’t tend to experiment much. Although maybe this is because I once stumbled across gold with Tigi’s Bed Head, and didn’t need to venture elsewhere. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Bed Head, but I hadn’t before come across ‘Ego Boost’, the split end mender/leave in conditioner…
Having recently tried and tested one of my all-time favourite hair products, Bed Head’s Headrush, I had high expectations for Ego Boost. And not only because of the similar hot pink bottle. Like most girls, I suffer from split ends so what better than a product that claims to get rid of them?!
Well, think about it. Once you have split ends, all you can honestly do is try and cover them up. And Ego Boost does this well. But mend? Not so much. I think only a good chop will do the job when it comes to getting rid of those nasty ends.
This is essentially a sweet-smelling leave-in conditioner that smoothes over the ends of your locks and fights the frizz. Use on damp hair to seal your ends, add shine, and protect dry hair from blow drying and other elements. Furthermore, you only need apply the smallest amount to the ends of your hair (leave the roots to avoid the slick look) to get the desired effect, meaning this decent-sized bottle will last you until you finally decide to chop off those split ends.
