New York fashion week kicked off today with The Heart Truth Red Dress collection – a fashion show in which celebs get glammed up and strut their stuff down a red runway in red creations by America’s top designers all in the name of charity. Project Runway’s Tim Gunn started off the proceedings with a short speech after which the stars took to the stage. Highlights of the show included Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling who both drew loud cheers of support. Jennie resembled a modern day Marylin Monroe in a Badgley Mischka gown and Tori was fabulous in a cute Betsey Johnson cocktatil dress. Vivica Fox was a hot diva in a glam sequined dress by Jenny Packham and Nia Long looked stunning in Tracy Reese.

I loved Patricia Arquette in Nicole Miller and Hilary Duff was very elegant wearing a Donna Karan gown. The crowd went wild for Katie Couric in Carmen Marc Volvo and my personal favourite was actress Cicely Tyson in a long fairy tale gown with puffed sleeves for b.michael. To say she worked the runway is a serious understatement. Love her and loved the show…very entertaining and it was all for a good cause!
