The series hasn’t even started yet, it hasn’t even been made, the models have yet to be selected but that hasn’t stopped the catfights. Pandemonium broke out at the New York auditions over the weekend. And this wasn’t some silly bitchy session, we’re talking six women injured, two hospitalised and three people arrested.
Picture the scene, thousands of wannabe models standing outside the Park Central Hotel, New York, dressed up in their favourite, most likely skimpy outfits and OTT make up. Then a car pulls up with smoke coming out of it, and so what would you expect? Hysteria of course.
After cries of “Fire! and “There’s a bomb women lurched forward knocking over the police barriers, a stampede ensued and a mass of handbags and shoes went flying.
Matters were made even worse by a thief running around trying to steal the airborne handbags in the midst of all the bedlam.
One wannabe model, Jennifer Brown described the scene to reporters: “The girls were running like it was 9/11 part two. I feared for my life.
The police arrested two women and a man for inciting a riot and disorderly conduct. Six women received medical attention and two were taken to hospital.
This was just the icing on the cake for the ‘models’ after some had spent all night queuing with no toilet facilities or food, others continued to queue despite the auditions being over.
Who’d have thought trying to be a model would be so dramatic?!
