Ronnie Wood is to launch his own fashion line.
The Rolling Stones guitarist has teamed up with British heritage store Liberty of London to design a range of clothing and accessories.
The range – to be called Ronnie Wood for Liberty London – will include travel holdalls, clutch bags, men’s T-shirts and women’s jersey dresses, all will baring images of Wood’s paintings, which have been adapted by Liberty’s creative director Tamara Salman.
Speaking about the collaboration with Liberty – who have previously worked with William Morris, Archibald Knox and Bernard Nevill – Wood said: “I wanted to work with Liberty of London because of the great tradition that Liberty has of artistic collaborations.”
Wood, 62, is not the first rock star to recently start his own clothing range.
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher launched his line, Pretty Green, earlier this month.
Speaking about his decision to move into fashion, Liam said: “The reason I’m doing it is I like clothes. We’re going to do clothes I like. If people like it, cool. If they don’t, they don’t.”
The range features T-shirts, crew necks, parka jackets, polka dot scarves, shoes and knitwear.
