London Fashion week has descended and has left behind it, like an oil tanker with a leak, a slick of fashion detritus. It’s pop-up stores galore in the Capital.

This time it’s the turn of French denim brand, My Lovely Jean, which has set up residence in Oxford Street’s Topshop until October 12.

The brand, by Laure and David Pariente who are also behind American Retro and ZOEtee’s, launched in the UK last year and has already graced the pins of walking billboards Pixie Geldof, Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn.

The AW09 collection takes inspiration from the eighties. There’s destroyed and stonewashed denim, studs, boyfriend baggy fits, slim and skinny fits, pencil skirts and boy blazers.

There’s also new lines Black and Velvet, which are inspired by 80s leather and 70s school corduroy.
