It’s the collaboration that’s had us intrigued ever since we caught wind of it, and now, Narciso Rodriguez for eBay has hit stores. Or, er, auction tables.
The US designer launched his capsule collection exclusively for the online auction site yesterday, offering eight pieces priced between a purse-friendly £40 and £225 for fashion fans across the globe.
Promising “redefine how and where savvy shoppers can buy designer fashion at extraordinary value”, his latest venture, according to handbag.com, features everything from a python-print T-shirt to a reversible trench, jersey dresses and denim pieces in his signature style , a style that’s seen him become a favourite among the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba.
“I am extremely excited by the possibilities that this new online sales channel brings to my business long term,” said Rodriguez. “For me it’s always been about dressing many women of all ages, all types, all sizes, and this special collection on eBay is a unique opportunity to reach a broad global audience.”
And Lorrie Norrington, president of eBay Marketplaces, shared in the designer’s enthusiasm. “We’re excited that Rodriguez chose eBay for his first direct-to-consumer online retail venture, recognising the power of the global marketplace and our community of nearly 90 million active users.”
If you’re included in that generous bracket, Narciso Rodriguez for eBay is available now in sizes 4-18 at ebay.com/narcisorodriguezforebay.
Considering eBay’s recent payout to LVMH, we’re sure they’d be glad of the business.
