Still looking for the perfect swimsuit for your summer holiday? You may be in luck, particularly if you’re fond of Roksanda Ilincic. The Belgrade designer is launching her debut swimwear collection this summer – and it’s set to land exclusively at Harvey Nichols in a splash.
And after three years on the London fashion circuit, the new collection is a timely addition to the already much-coveted label. So what can we expect from her first swimwear offering? Sleek and sculptural swimsuits in soft luxe fabrics alongside the designer’s signature bright colours, in a nutshell.
Of course, the collection taps into the season’s top trends – think tribal patterns (she was inspired by the colours and patterns of the East African Kai tribes) as well as nude tones – and features cut-out asymmetric detailing as well as her trademark traditional-meets-modern-cool approach: there’s the ‘Riziki’ and ‘Talula’, two 40s-inspired silhouettes with spaghetti straps, the asymmetric ‘Miali’, and halterneck suits ‘Leyla’, ‘Zuri’ and ‘Zahara’. And in case you’re not a swimsuit person, there’s bikini versions too.
The debut collection will hit the shelves at Harvey Nichols, where it’ll be stocked exclusively for the first season, in the coming weeks with prices ranging between £210 and £425. Perfect for pulling off that poolside chic.
