Guests who are lucky enough to attend the coveted Royal wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William are set to enjoy a banquet of British culinary delights at the reception – lucky for some, eh?

The reception is said to be held at Buckingham Palace, spanning across 19 rooms in total – including the state dining room, the white drawing room, the blue drawing room and nearby picture gallery, where the triumphant cake will be proudly displayed.

The Queen’s head chef Mark Flanagan has an almighty task on his hands though – what with an expected guestlist of 600 important mouths to feed – but promises to deliver ‘the best of British produce’ on the day.

Although Flanagan is reluctant to reveal any specific menu choices, he’s definitely not a slacker when it comes to food and aims to please to the highest of mouth-watering standards on the day, reports Vogue UK.

“For a lot of people it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” says Flanagan. “From the kitchen side of things we try to encourage everybody to make sure nobody goes away saying ‘Wasn’t it amazing, but the food wasn’t up to much’. That’s not what we’d like.”

Well, as you’re the Queen’s head chef, we highly doubt anyone will dislike your food Flanagan!
