It must be difficult for Jennifer Garner to look bad. After all, her beautiful face and figure bagged Ben Affleck, so we assume she usually knows what she’s doing.

Imagine our surprise, then, when we saw her looking less than lovely in a dowdy outfit for the premiere of her new film Arthur.

We always expect a little more pizazz from celebrities when promoting their films, so what Jennifer was thinking with this dull sweater and skirt combo, we’ll never know.

The lace pencil skirt didn’t flatter her legs and somehow made her teeny frame look wider than it actually is. But even that could have been forgiven if she hadn’t paired it with a dull grey cardigan that she wore backwards.

It may be Oscar de la Renta but she totally missed the mark this time.

But despite her decided lack of shine in the fashion stakes, it wasn’t all bad – her hair, make-up and accessories, especially the eye-catching jewellery, were all flawless.
