Every year, by the time Easter is over, I feel like I am in chocolate-overkill. I’m as partial to a Cadbury’s Crème as the next person, and those Lindt chocolate bunnies are as cute as a button but, by Easter Monday, I’ve had my fill of animal-based confectionary. Can we not swap some of the chocolate for clothes, please?

A few decades ago, easter bonnets, baskets and extra-poofy dresses were all the rage at this time of year. While I’m not suggesting we should all don straw hats with bows, it would be nice to celebrate the holiday with what we wear.

Step forward one Diane Von Furstenberg bunnie shirt. The bright yellow pure silk shirt is adorned with white hearts and is complete with a contrasting black and white collar and cuffs. Plus, the masculine tailoring toughens up the super-girly print, and the sunshine shade adds a splash of colour to any wardrobe.

Tuck into black tuxedo trousers of wear with a slinky pencil skirt. Oh, and don’t forget to button up your collar – the freshest way to wear your shirt at the moment. I’d take DVF’s bunnie shirt over a Lindt bunny any day…
