Fewer things give you a better seal of approval as a designer than critical acclaim and having the world’s most successful supermodels wearing your pieces. Luckily for Victoria Beckham, she now has both.
Last Friday, Gisele Bundchen wore a Victoria Beckham dress to the 2011 Global Environment Citizen Awards, which honoured the super for her humanitarian work, in New York – and Victoria was the first to announce her approval.
“Hello fashion bunnies!!!how beautiful does Gisele look in #VictoriaBeckham !!!!! A dream come true for me!!!! X vb,” she tweeted.
The designer later uploaded a picture of Gisele in the dress, accompanied with “Wow!!! X vb”.
From the amount of exclamation marks, we assume Victoria was pretty excited. And we get it, we’d be pretty excited if Gisele – aka the-girl-too-beautiful-to-actually-be-a-human – wore one of our dresses too (especially given that we’re not designers, but we digress).
She looked surprisingly chic in VB’s signature black pencil dress; a more demure style than we’re used to seeing from Bundchen – no legs, no splits, no figure-flaunting – but it’s lacking excitement, even if it is fitting for the occasion.
What do you make of Gisele in Victoria Beckham: is it a hit or a miss?
