At last! It’s about time someone wore Stella McCartney’s floorlength fruit-printed dress on the red carpet, though frankly, we were a little surprised that someone was Jo Whiley.
That’s not to say she didn’t work it, though. Looking ultra sleek with a citrus-y vibrance, the Radio 1 DJ stole the limelight in the British designer’s SS11 dress at the Ivor Novello Awards yesterday.
Showing a sexy flash of thigh courtesy of a split front panel, Jo teamed her silk dress with classic nude pumps – a chic touch, in our book – an orange wrap bracelet and simple swept up hair.
Minimalism meets fruity fabulousness; it’s amazing what a bit of colour and clever designing can do (we guess it helps when it comes from Stella McCartney, though).
