Finally, we’ll get to see Kate Middleton‘s Alexander McQueen wedding dress in all its intricate glory as Buckingham Palace announces the dress will go on public display next month, as part of its annual summer opening from July 23rd to October 3rd.
But that’s not all, as well as oogling at Sarah Burton‘s exquisitely designed wedding gown, visitors will be able to see the silk-tulle veil, the handmade satin shoes (embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework), and a pair of diamond pear-shaped earrings by Robinson Pelham – all of which were worn by Kate on her big day, and given to her as a present from her parents, reports Vogue UK.
And to top the whole thing off, the Duke and Duchess’ wedding cake – a traditional fruit cake created by Fiona Cairns – will also stand tall as part of the royal display.
We just hope it’s not the original!
