Daphne Guinness has been getting dressed in public quite a lot lately, but if you missed it the first time around, you can catch a similar performance in Nowness.com’s latest video instalment featuring the icon herself.
The short documentary entitled Daphne’s Window was created by filmmaker Brennan Stasiewicz, who aimed to infiltrate the cosseted world of Ms. Guinness through this amazing piece of inside footage. And boy, did he do just that.
“She appears to me as someone always in a window,” says Stasiewicz. “Someone you can approach and see, but you remain on the other side.”
The film features intimate scenes of the style icon at her Fifth Avenue apartment, as well as preparing for her recent creative installation in the windows of Barneys in New York City, as she narrates what it’s like to be “eccentric”.
This delightful piece of visual art is definitely a must see – if only for Daphne’s amazing outfits – so be sure to watch the video below.
