Donatella Versace designs exclusive collection for H&M
Yes, you read right. The goddess of Italian fashion has descended from the high heavens and landed right in humble high street brand H&M. The collaboration comes as a surprise after Donatella openly dismissed the idea of a high street diffusion line back in 2008. Versace for H&M promises a “glamorous and flamboyant” collection of women’s, men’s and homeware, and launches in stores on November 17. Check out the launch video and read more here!
John Galliano’s court appearance and postponed verdict
So we all witnessed Galliano attend court this week on account of the racism allegations against him. Dressed in a dark three-piece suit, he looked a rather sombre version of the flamboyant designer who once displayed his charm on the runway. Azzedine Alaïa rejected top job at Dior
Some designers aren’t only outspoken in terms of their artistic output, but also when it comes to pressing matters such as, let’s see, nabbing the top job at Dior! Naomi Campbell loses Cadbury racism row
Some say it was much ado about nothing, and now the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) have confirmed so. The ‘diva’ supermodel’s accusations against chocolate giant Cadbury revolved around the advertising campaign for Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss, which Naomi referred to as racist and “insulting and hurtful”. But the ASA deemed the campaign inoffensive, stating it was “likely to be understood to refer to Naomi Campbell’s reputation for ‘diva-style’ behaviour rather than her race.” Read more here!

Revealed at a lavish ceremony at London’s St Martin’s Lane, the highly-awaited shortlist for this year’s contenders of the WGSN Fashion Awards were announced this week. Kate Moss designs new makeup line with Rimmel
The face of the brand for 10 years, Kate Moss has decided to turn her beauty charm on the creative team at Rimmel by designing a new makeup line for the cosmetics giant. Set to land in stores this autumn, expect quintessential Kate with Union Jack-cased eye palettes, leopard print cosmetic pouches and six luscious lipstick shades bearing Kate’s signature. Uniqlo and Jil Sander’s love affair comes to an end
One of the best collaborations in recent times has decided to call it a day. Jil sander and Japanese high street brand Uniqlo have decide to cut creative ties after they decided they had accomplished all they’d set out to gain.
