The famous Marks and Spencer adverts starring Dannii Minogue, Twiggy and Lisa Snowdon have now been axed, but it’s believed both Twiggy and Snowdon – as well as new recruit Jamie Redknapp – will continue to represent the brand in one way or another.
However, Myleene Klass, Victoria’s Secret model Ana Beatriz Barros, VV Brown and Minogue, will unfortunately no longer work for the company.
Erin O’Connor, Laura Bailey, and Lily Cole have also starred in the advertisements since their explosion on our screens in 2004, but following Sir Stuart Rose’s departure late last year, new chief executive Marc Bolland initially backed the campaign, but has since re-evaluated the strategy, reports Vogue UK.
As far as reports go, the decision came about following media criticism of the retailer, accusing the franchise of forgetting about its core older customer by focusing too much on the young glossy stars in the campaigns.
You can’t argue with that.
