Another day, another fabulous collaboration: Jimmy Choo is teaming up with Nan Goldin for a global advertising campaign to support the launch of ICONS, a capsule collection of shoes inspired by some of the company’s greatest and most memorable creations in history.

The above picture is just one in a series of vivid images by fine art photographer Nan Goldin – which will see the new collection immortalised in her signature snapshot-art style – and it’s an almost three-dimensional burst of colour and fantasy.

“I’ve long been an admirer of Nan’s honest and emotional work and her ability to portray her subjects in a way that is beautiful and raw,” says Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon, who is also launching the Jimmy Choo Foundation as a charitable trust.

“Because the Jimmy Choo Foundation benefits women and issues of empowerment, it was important for me to find a photographer whose work was able to convey not only the powerful but also the sensitive and softer side of Jimmy Choo.”

Despite all the wonderful bright colours, forestry and even the peacock posing proudly next to the model, the main thing we’re drawn to in the image is still the bright blue and pink shoe.

That says it all, doesn’t it?

The campaign will roll out around the world from November.
