Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, attended her first solo royal engagement on Wednesday night. She attended an event in Clarence House for her father-in-law’s In Kind Direct charity, but despite hubby Prince William’s absence, she carried herself with the utmost elegance and confidence.
We know she doesn’t like to attend public events without her Duke by her side, but she proved that she is more than capable of doing so when she needs to.
Kate went for a pale blue floor-length Amanda Wakeley dress from the 2006 Autumn/Winter collection and a glamorous but understated half up and half down hair-do. Kate accessorised with her trusty Jimmy Choos, a simple but sparkly bracelet and the same drop earrings she apparently wore to the engagement party of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.
