Just like that old saying about buses goes, we’ve waited ages for a Lady Gaga Elle UK cover and now two have come along at once. Not that we are complaining about having the Marry the Night singer grace two newsstand versions of the January 2012 edition of Elle magazine.

On one cover, Lady Gaga is modelling possibly one of the most recognisable and memorable pieces from Alexander McQueen’s spring/summer 2012 collection. Every last detail in the dress complements Gaga perfectly and in our opinion, could easily have been made especially for her.

The second cover also sees the singer in a far less outlandish outfit than what we are used to seeing from her, as she posed in a soft, pale green Simone Rocha dress, although it could be classed as a little on the sheer side for some people’s tastes.

We also have the subscriber’s edition cover to look forward to, unless one of the two has been mislabeled as a secondary newsstand cover… we’ll just have to sit tight and wait patiently for clarification.

An exclusive behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot has been released by Elle and also sees Lady Gaga in another Alexander McQueen creation hot off the spring/summer 2012 catwalk, as well as a purple Richard Nicoll dress with a sheer skirt and a white Mandy Coon jumpsuit, also from the latest collections. As stated on the cover, the magazine features the best pieces from the new season, and Lady Gaga is the perfect person to showcase them, wouldn’t you agree?
