Ok, we love Isabel Marant. Her collections are effortlessly cool, laced with that Je ne sais quoi that’s made the designer a firm favourite with fashion fans the world over.
You can tell a Marant piece a mile off: whether it be her trademark hot pant denim shorts or, this season, her Navajo-style chunky knit jumpers – or, of course, these boots!
Incredibly distinct in a wide, wader slouchy boot shape and featuring a fringed trim, these boots certainly make a statement.
But are they too much? The cascading fringing itself brings the boot into strong love it or hate it territory – some may find it chic, others may find it a bit too country and western.
Then there’s the slouchy shape to also consider. Totally cool or completely unflattering?
And, if we’re being really picky, cream isn’t the most practical colour to don when it comes to footwear – but then again, that probably doesn’t matter when you’re going for a look as strong as this.
So, what do you think? To statement boot, or to not statement boot?
