Yesterday, The Body Shop invited a host of people (including the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Jo Wood) to the London launch of its brand new Beauty with Heart movement, which encourages people to look good, feel good and do good.

Beauty With Heart is also being supported by Lily Cole, the first global brand advocate for The Body Shop.

“I have long been an advocate of the potential of using business and consumer power to cause positive change,” Lily said. “The Body Shop takes a responsible attitude to people and the environment, and it feels amazing to be supporting a brand who are pioneers in that way of working.”

We had the privilege of attending the event last night too (which you may have sussed after our flurry of pictures on Twitter – we were excited!) and cannot stress enough that our iPhone pics don’t do it justice. With the oversized fruit trees in abundance, it felt like we were Alice stepping into Wonderland!

We got the chance to look at all the cosmetics in the ‘look good’, give our noses a treat at the ‘feel good’ station with more choices of body butter than we could shake a stick at, and learn about how The Body Shop (which has always been an ethical business) ensures that its products are made fairly in the ‘do good’ area. The only thing better than looking and feeling good is knowing that it’s all down to fair and ethical production. One of the many, many reasons we will always love The Body Shop!

Beauty With Heart will hit the UK from 3rd May, and then globally from 15th May onwards, so not long to wait at all.
