Good, nay, AMAZING news: the Met Gala is going to be televised this year!

The red carpet arrivals will be live-streamed for two hours on various places online, including the Metropolitan Museum (of course), American Vogue and Amazon websites.  The inside action will reportedly continue to be broadcast on the Vogue website – exciting stuff!

The red carpet show will be hosted by Vogue editor William Norwich and model Elettra Weidemann, who have guaranteed interviews with Miuccia Prada, Anna Wintour and Carey Mulligan.

As there are no commercial breaks,  the stream will be broken up by small, pre-filmed snippets about the history of the Met Gala and the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit.

You’ve probably guessed by now that we love a good televised red carpet event – you only need to look at our coverage of the Grammys, Golden Globes and Oscars for proof. So rest assured, our eyes will be firmly glued to the screen to bring you every detail.

The Met Gala red carpet arrivals will be live-streamed on Monday May 7th, 6.30pm Eastern Standard Time (that’s 11.30pm GMT for us Brits)
