With all the excitement surrounding the July issue of Elle UK, (you know, the one with that little known footballer called David Beckham? No biggie, obviously!) we almost forgot about the Stateside version… until now that is.
Sure we may have a very chiseled Becks showing some muscle on our Elle, but across the pond, Selena Gomez is posing up a storm in a gorgeous Balmain autumn/winter 2012 creation, on what we think is a really refreshing and youthful front cover.
If “Elle” wasn’t written in big, bold letters at the top, we would never have guessed that Selena was fronting a fashion magazine, would you? That’s not to say we don’t like it though. On the contrary, this is actually one of our favourite Elle US covers of the year. We applaud the glossies that take risks… that’s what fashion is all about, after all!
Even if fashionistas don’t like what they see this month, we predict this issue will fly off the shelves regardless, as Selena and boyfriend Justin Bieber have themselves a gargantuan fan-base.
