The Givenchy autumn/winter 2012 collection didn’t look like it was going to be the most wearable of collections when it made its runway debut earlier this year… and poor Amanda Seyfried has only gone and confirmed those suspicions.
Amanda donned a purple and gold embellished Givenchy dress for last night’s Tony Awards in New York, but she totally stood out for all the wrong reasons.
This upsets us quite a bit because we love the girl (both as an actress and for her red carpet evolution over the years) and thought she did a fab job of opening the show with Neil Patrick Harris. However, her talents have unfortunately been overshadowed by their garishness of her outfit!
Had Amanda refused to wear the neon accessories and went for a more subtle lip colour and even did something more playful with her hair, the look might have been a total hit. Alas, she didn’t…
We know we aren’t the only ones who feel this way, as we’ve been scouring the net to find someone who approves of it but have come back with minimal results. What do you guys think?
