We know that Kate Middleton has done a fine job of fitting in with the in-laws, but she is now getting her very own portrait to really cement her place in the Royal family. After all, nothing truly says acceptance better than an official piece of artwork, does it?
Kate’s portrait is rumoured to be by Jemma Phipps, whose CV boasts paintings of several Royal family members such as the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh. No pressure, then!
Once the portrait is complete, it will hang in the National Portrait Gallery – of which Kate is actually a patron – and will be displayed among those of the rest of the members of the Royal family.
So that’s the Duchess of Cambridge’s portrait sorted… now when is she going to sit for a fashion glossy cover? Could 2013 be the year?
