Gucci has marked the start of a new year by releasing the third set of images from Charlotte Casiraghi’s Forever Now ad campaign.
This time round, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott – if you cast your minds back to last year you may remember that Peter Lindbergh and Inez and Vinoodh shot the first two.
The third offering is just as stunning as the previous two, and the 26-year-old Royal can be seen staring intensely into the camera while holding a gorgeous silk scarf in Gucci’s iconic Flora pattern.
“Today, Flora has become a symbol of the Gucci woman’s effortless fusion of tradition and contemporary poise,” said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.
“The print holds special meaning to me — I first discovered the scarf when my mother and grandmother would wear theirs during my childhood in the Seventies.”
The Flora scarf should hold a special place in Charlotte’s heart too, as the pattern was created by Italian artist Vittorio Accornero, which was based on the scarf that Rodolfo Gucci (son Guccio Gucci) gave Grace Kelly back in 1966. Talk about nostalgia!
