Just yesterday we told you that Lydia Maurer was leaving her artistic director position at Paco Rabanne, and today another big-name designer is leaving her fashion label.
Yep Daniella Helayel has announced that she will be leaving Issa London, the label she founded, to move onto pastures new.
“The time has come for me to move on to focus on my art, travel and other interests,” she said. “Creating Issa has been one of the most rewarding things in my life. I may be leaving, but the Issa girl will live forever in my heart.”
Issa London fans shouldn’t despair, as Daniella’s replacement has already been found and confirmed, and it’s none other than Blue Farrier. She has a pretty impressive CV too, having worked at Stella McCartney, Chloé, and Anya Hindmarch.
“I am pleased to welcome Blue Farrier as the new creative director of Issa at such an exciting time,” said Angelina Ypma, a spokesperson for Issa London.”Her vision and passion will be vital as we expand into new categories and markets and continue the development of Issa into a truly global lifestyle brand.”
We can’t wait to see what Blue Farrier has up her sleeve; she has some pretty big shoes to fill but we’re pretty sure she’s up to it! Watch this space!
