With Cannes and amfAR Gala festivities in full swing this week, there, hasn’t been a shortage of breathtaking red carpet looks to ogle. But OD’ing on dresses has tired our eyes, leaving us in need of a fresh, easy look.
So when Marion Cotillard, the face of Dior, attended the Dior Cruise show in Monaco, in a white trench coat from the fashion house’s pre-autumn/winter 2013-14 collection, we took a sigh of relief!
The clean, minimal look she sported was a welcome detour from frocks and frill (all very beautiful, of course), and, although several Dior looks appeared this week, Marion’s outfit made us fall in love with the idea of the humble coat-as-a-dress option so expertly championed by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton!
The cute collar and belt detail up the chic ante, whilst the neon toe-cap pumps ensure the white-out isn’t too clinical, adding a welcome splash of colour.
Marion finished off her look with a sleek black clutch and neutral makeup, opting for a soft pink lip and a side-swept low-do – a no brainer for BDOTW!
What do you make of Marion’s look? Would you opt for the coat-as-a-dress look?
