David Koma has been announced as Mugler’s new artistic director, following Nicola Formichetti’s departure earlier this year.
“I am deeply honored to take up the role of artistic director at Mugler – a house for which I have the utmost admiration and respect,” David Koma said. “For me, Mugler is the most extraordinary fashion house with an undeniably audacious heritage.”
No arguments there! David Koma will start his new job at the beginning of the year, and will make his debut with a pre-collection in June, with a full spring/summer 2015 collection in September during Paris Fashion Week.
He already has a huge celebrity following, with Beyonce, Cheryl Cole and Miley Cyrus among his famous fans, so we have every faith that the brand is in good hands!
