Huge congratulations to Peter Pilotto, as the label has walked away with the coveted 2014 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund prize of £200,000 and money-can’t-buy mentorship.
The boys – Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos – beat off extremely stiff competition from Mary Katrantzou, Emilia Wickstead, House of Holland, Osman and Zoe Jordan for the prize; talk about a fierce competition!
“Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos are an incredibly dynamic design team, who since launching their label in 2007, have won the hearts and minds of the industry and the public with their vibrant colours and unforgettable prints,” said Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council.
“They demonstrated they are a thriving fashion label with a great vision to take the next step in building a global designer fashion brand.”
We can’t argue with that. And with the success of the winners of the past – Nicholas Kirkwood (who walked away with last year’s prize), Jonathan Saunders, Christopher Kane and Erdem who scooped the prize back in 2010 – we feel that the Peter Pilotto brand will get even bigger and even better.
Congrats again, boys!
